Imagine Rose dying for the first time, and forgetting Sinine ever existed.

Sinine and Rose looked to their warlock, Jaiden, for instructions. It was his first day of school after being home all summer, and they had to know what to do while he was gone.

"Don't go upstairs, my parents will flip, okay? And, uh, if you need anything, text me and I'll figure it out case by case." He explained. The robot sighed, obviously annoyed about having to keep track of the organic girl that was recently created.

"I don't see why I have to watch her, can't you just stay home or something?" He complained, obviously annoyed. Jaiden chuckled and shook his head.

"You know this place better than she does, and I have no choice but to go." He glanced at the clock. "Speaking of which, I'm gonna be late. Bye!" The tattooed teen called out as he shut the door to the basement. Sinine sighed and lit a cigarette, plopping down on the sofa. The sentient flora gently sat herself down next to him, grabbing the cigarette from his lips and putting it out in the ashtray.

"Those are bad for you, I heard. I don't want you getting sick." she said, slightly concerned for her metallic friend. Rose cared much more about Sinine than she'd like to admit. He glared at her, but his gaze softened when he saw the worry on her features. Giving her the smallest hint of a smile, he looked away.

"I can't get sick from those, I just-" he tried to defend himself, but stopped halfway, chuckling softly at her naivety. "You know what- okay. Thanks." Rose smiled, happy to have aided in some way. In her mind, at least. She snuggled up into his side, cautious of her thorns. Sinine backed away quickly, extremely startled by the sudden display of affection. Blushing heavily, Rose backed off as well.

"S-Sorry..." she stuttered out quietly. The robot sighed, inching his way back to the living flora. Wrapping a metallic arm around her shoulders he looked down at her and gave her a small, but genuine, smile. Looking up at the larger robot, she returned the warm grin.

"You just gonna sit there or you gonna scoot closer?" he teased snarkily, pretending he had no interest either way. Rose immediately scooted closer, returning to snuggling into his side happily. Sinine chuckled and flipped on the small, retro style tv in front of them, idly flipping the channels. The flora gladly dozed off to the sound of his heartbeat.
