A/N: FINALLY HOLY SHIT. Sorry about the wait on this. Between being sick, Hurricanes and being downright lazy this took a while to get done. (Would have been done yesterday, but I accidentally deleted all my edits when I tried to post it UGH!!!) So hello and welcome to the Prequel for Aviation! YAAAAY! Originally the next chapter of Aviation was going to be a bonus chapter because OMFG 20K?!?!?! REALLY?!?! YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING AND I LOVE EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOUR TO THE MOON AND BACK KJSDFHKHFKJSD!

Anyways, a not about the prequel.  Even though it's a prequel I would still suggest reading Aviation first if you already haven't.  This particular chapter picks up after Miles story of how they Met  back in chapter 10. Some of the chapters in this will be in order or have more than one chapter in a row on the same thing but this is not a story that fits any sort of timeline. Most of the chapters will be a story to themselves. A great deal of the chapters will be elaborations of things mentioned in Aviation from when they were younger that didn't get their own flashbacks whereas some of them will be completely new.  Everything in this will be the building of Alex and Miles relationship when they were younger leading up to their fight that Comes before Aviation.

I really hope that you all like this and I'm looking forward to knowing what you think. Next chapter of Aviation will be up in a couple of days! Love you all <3

Later in the evening Miles and Alex stumble back towards the hotel where their bands are staying. It was quite late. Neither of them had realized how long they'd been gone until the bartender had hollered for last call. Staying out so late the night before the first show of tour might not have been the brightest idea, but they hadn't done it intentionally. Times flies when the conversation flows easily. Alex never thought he could talk so candidly with someone who by all accounts was still a stranger to him. Miles didn't expect when he'd fist walked into the Monkey's hotel room earlier in the evening that the brooding boy in the corner would end up being the first one he had a real connection with out of the group.

"Fuck, fuck I don't have a room key." Miles slurred as they climbed the stairs to the third floor. He stopped to laugh as Alex slipped on his own feet and grabbed the safety railing. " You alright mate?" He asked, grabbing the boys arm and helping him right himself.

"Sssh it echoes, the people will hear you laughing," Alex said. He covered his mouth to keep his own laughter from escaping. " You laugh too loud."

"The... people will hear me?"

"Yes, Miles, the people will hear you! All of them. We'll get in trouble!" Alex insisted.

"Alex, you are absolutely pissed." Miles laughed again against Alex's wishes. " Trouble? Have we missed curfew or something?"

"Maybe! You never know. If management found out I went out tonight..."

"Oh, I get it you're afraid of your manager!" Miles smirked.

"Hush you!" Alex said, pulling the door to the third-floor hallway open. "C'mon hopefully the door between our rooms is still open." He pulled out the card key from his coat pocket and opened the door quietly, trying to avoid the inevitable creaking sound it would make. Unfortunately for Miles, the conjoining opening between their two rooms had been sealed and locked for the evening. The lights were out and soft snores could be heard all around. "Let's have one more smoke before bed yeah?" Alex asked. He wasn't quite done spending time with Miles yet. He liked talking to him and finds the idea that he'd have to go back to his own room soon rather upsetting even though he'd see him in the morning.

" Yeah, alright. Then I've got to go to bed. I'm beat." Miles said. He pulled the cardboard pack from his pocket and headed out onto the balcony with Alex.
