Katie's POV
Travis and I are already sitting down in History when Annabeth and Percy come in. They're laughing about something. Travis and I glance at each other, smiling.

Percy stops in the doorway, acting confused.  Annabeth shoves him forward and he exaggerates stumbling.

"What if I'd fallen?" He asks incredulously.

"You didn't though," Annabeth smirks.

He acts wounded. "So insensitive!"

In response, she shoves him again, towards their seats.

Percy trips Annabeth on her way to sit down, and then quickly jumps up to catch her.

"Careful, Wise Girl. I just saved your life!"

Annabeth frowns and sidesteps him, sitting down. He scoots his chair towards hers and stares at her, pouting.

"Cut it out, Seaweed Brain!"

Percy grins, and I can tell he loves hearing her say that.

As class progresses, Percy keeps flirting with Annabeth. She tries to not respond, but she's failing miserably. Travis and I share a few knowing looks.

Inwardly, I wish I could be so bold. I've had a crush on Travis for forever, but he's tough to read, and I'm scared to act. Percy and Annabeth though, they're bold and funny, and they bring out the best in each other.

Travis's POV
Watching Annabeth and Percy, my heart aches. I glance at Katie. She watches them with a slight look of pain on her face.

No!

She's got it bad for Percy! How can I even compete with him?

Annabeth's POV
I flop onto Katie's bedroom floor, giggling. This is so unlike me, and I don't have any idea what happened.

She pokes her head over the side of the bed, smiling. "Girl, you've got it bad!"

I sit up straight. "I do not!" Do I?

"Alright, spill," Katie commands.

"Percy... he makes me relax somehow, like I don't have to worry so much, like I can just let go. When he accidentally touches me, it leaves me tingly all over. I still have his hoodie, and it smells like the ocean!"

Katie is smiling, biting her lip.

"But I don't know if he feels he same way," I fret.

Katie rolls her eyes. "How could he not? You bring out his reasonable side, laugh at his jokes, and you're gorgeous! He's not blind,"

"Right. So where do I go from here?" I wonder.

"You go home, you do yore homework, and you stop worrying!"

I'm almost home when my phone chimes. I don't recognize the number, but I can see what the text says.

You're the prettiest thing I ever saw, Annabeth.
Who is this?
Your admirer!!
What? I don't have any of those.
Whatever you say, Wise Girl.
Percyyyyyy! I'm gonna kill you!

He didn't text back after that, but I found myself kinda wishing that he would.
