A Shisa Story

Chapter 22: The Truth

Shane has been in the office for over 2 hours. I know for a fact he's not working on his new video, he's looking for something else. My problem is why can't I know what he's looking for? I thought we told each other everything, then again everyone has a secret. Maybe he'll end up telling me what he's up to sooner or later, but if he doesn't I'll be on my way to Joey's.

Me: Shane, I'm going to bed its getting late.

Shane walked out of the office.

Shane: It's only like 7:30

Me: Well I just want to get a good night sleep.

Shane: I'll be in around 9:00.

Shane wasn't even paying attention, he was just using his phone.

Me: Okay...

Shane: Night.

I went off to our room and got under the covers all nice and cozy.

*Shane's POV*

Lisa's getting worried an suspicious. I can't let her know. She would flip. I learned what Joey meant by April 13, and I know why Joey was in our house when it was wrecked. He stole my journal. My personal journal with all my video idea's and thoughts in it. Did I write one on April 13 he wanted? Maybe, but I doubt it. I should really get it back though. I don't want to go to his house and confront him alone. I could bring Lisa but that would cause to much drama. I should go when Sawyer is around. That way It'll just be a little chat. It might embarrass Joey, but I won't feel to guilty after what he's done. To harsh? Oh well. I was startled when I heard a knock on the apartment door. Their was no chance of Lisa getting up to answer it since she falls asleep so easily, so I had to answer the door. I opened the door.

Me: J-Joey..?

Joey: yeah.. its me...

Joey looked depressed, deprived, hopeless. He wore a dark hoodie with the hood up. He had a bag in his hand with something inside of it.

Joey: I have to give you something Shane...

I had a feeling I knew what was coming. He was here to give me my journal, be honest, try to change my mind about him and see if we could still be friends.

Me: What?

He took something out of the bag. The journal. I quickly snatched it out of his hands.

Joey: I'm...I'm..I'm sorry.

He began to cry.

Me: Joey I-

Joey: YOU WHAT, DON'T WANT ME AROUND? WANT ME GONE? I was an IDIOT to think you actually liked me, and I should've known! You and Lisa are so great together it almost seems fake! YOU HAVEN'T EVEN PROPOSED TO HER SO I THOUGHT, JUST THOUGHT, YOU MIGHT LIKE ME. BUT NOOOOOOOOOO LITTLE OL JOEY IS JUST A FRIEND. Can't you see? COULDN'T you see? I'. I love you. thought that kiss by the door would be a new beginning, I've liked you since April 13. But fuck that now. Your going to marry Lisa, have kids, and grow old together...

I was speechless.

Me: Joey..

Joey: Just forget it.

He walked away. Great, my best friend just left, never to come back. I turned around to go to the bedroom when I saw LIsa standing by the door.

*Lisa's POV*

I now know what he has been doing. I saw everything. I saw Joey. I saw the journal. I heard about the kiss.

*Shane's POV*

Me: Lisa, its not what you think.

Lisa: I know... Lets just forget about it and go to sleep, okay?

Me: Great idea...

We both walked over to the bedroom. I grabbed my pajama's and went to go change in the bathroom. I walked out and got all comfy under the covers. LIsa had already fallen asleep. Time for me to.

(Next Day)

I woke up to the sound of Corny barking, which has now awoken Lisa.

Lisa: Why the fuck is she barking at *checks clock* 6:30 in the morning.

I laughed.

Me: How should I know? I'll go check.

Lisa: I'll go with.

Lisa and I slowly got out of bed and walked into the hallway. We walked down to the living room to see Corny barking at no one.

Lisa: Well that was a let down. I thought we'd be like ninja's and murder some people!

Me: One can hope.

Lisa: well I'm gonna have some cereal then go down to Brittani's to make a video.

Me: Okay.

Lisa: how ya feelin?

Me: Why ask?

Lisa: Shane, Joey totally left you yesterday.

Me: Oh yeah...

Their was a moment of silence.

Me: ...Uh I'm doing great, no worries...

LIsa: mmmmmmmhmm....

Me: Lisa, I'm fine, okay?

Lisa: whatever you say! I'll be on my way to taking a shower now!

She went to the bathroom and turned on the water, locking the door behind her.

Me: Hi Corny!

I started to pet her. She rolled over signaling me to pet her belly, and so I did. After about a minute I got up and walked into me and Lisa's room into our closet. I picked out an outfit to wear and quickly got changed. I waited for Lisa to get out of the bathroom so I could straighten my hair. She opened the door.

Lisa: Holy shit you scared me!

She started to laugh.

Me: Oh, uh.. SORRY!

Lisa: Whatever, I don't have time to deal with you.

Me: Ha.

I walked into the bathroom and got out the straightener. After about 5 minutes I finished straightening my hair. Lisa was in our room using a mirror to do her makeup but quicklly went to the bathroom to finish it off. What should I do today? Maybe go get a few main channel video's done? I COULD DO THAT COLLAB WI-

No I can't, he left.

*1 hour later*

After Lisa left it really struck me that Joey isn' in my life anymore. I started to feel really sad. I went over to the couch and sat down, turned on the TV, and watched Cupcake Wars.
