"C'mon, Vic! Mom said we only get ten more minutes to trick or treat!" Kellin exclaimed, dragging his poor friend along the sidewalk to the next house. Vic didn't know how Kellin still had so much energy after walking around this long when all he wanted to do was go home and watch Power Rangers. Kellin dashed up the porch of a small house covered in bones and spider webs, being careful not to step on the hem of his sparkling Sleeping Beauty dress. Vic still wasn't sure how Kellin had managed to convince him to be Prince Phillip, but he chalked it up to the best friend code. After all, Vic had talked Kellin into being Leonardo last year when Vic was Donatello. Making his way up the porch steps, Vic pushed a dangling arm out of the way and stood next to Kellin as they eagerly awaited the opening of the door. Soon enough they heard footsteps, and light spilled from the door. A tall woman stood there, holding a large purple bowl full of Skittles and Reese's cups.

"Trick or Treat!" The boys yelled in unison, and the woman gave them a big smile. She scooped a handful of candies into each of their Batman bags, making the boys bounce excitedly at the amount of candy she had given them. They thanked her and ran back to where Kellin's mom was waiting on the driveway.

"Alright, you two, let's get you home. Vic, your mama just texted me and said that you could stay  with us, does that sound good?" Kellin's mom asked. Kellin turned to his best friend and pouted, tangling his fingers together in a begging gesture and jumping up and down.

"Please, please, please, Viccy! We can watch Coraline and The Nightmare Before Christmas and Scary Godmother!" Kellin pleaded. Vic didn't need much convincing, but he did require one thing in order to accept the offer.

"Can we watch Power Rangers?"

When they got home, Vic and Kellin had immediately burrowed into a mound of blankets, trading and eating the candy they had collected. Unfortunately, Kellin's mom had taken their bags into the kitchen so they wouldn't eat it all and get sick. The TV was the only source of light in the dark room, and the newest episode of Power Rangers was playing. Kellin had already fallen asleep, but Vic forced himself to stay awake until the end. A commercial break started to play, so Vic spaced out. He glanced over at his dear friend and giggled at the hair falling across his face and drool dribbling from his mouth. Vic delicately brushed the hair away from Kellin's face, trying not to wake the sleeping boy. He froze when Kellin began to move but smiled as Kellin curled up against him. Vic carefully wrapped an arm around him, pulling him into his side even more. Kellin let out a content sigh in his sleep, making Vic's heart flutter a bit. He gently kissed his friend's forehead before tuning back in to Power Rangers. Once the show ended, he switched off the TV with the remote and cuddled against Kellin, falling asleep with a big smile on his face and chocolate smeared across his cheeks.

Thank you, DarkenedDeath for giving me this prompt. Hopefully this is an acceptable first part. I tried my best, and I will probably get more comfortable writing these little stories as this collection goes on. I've been writing longer, more thought-out pieces for while, so it was a bit difficult to fit all my thoughts into one installment.  Also, if you didn't notice, Kellin and Vic are supposed to be children. I didn't know how to make that obvious without making the story sound cheesy or lame, so there's that. I hope you like this and please comment or message me your ideas. It's really interesting to hear what spooky or horrifying stories you want to read about.
