A Different Life

Chapter 4

"Er, Voight wants to see us tomorrow morning, something about a debrief" He said to her as she rolled over

"Do we have too?" she asked him. He sighed looking at her pale sweaty completion

"unfortunately yes, but we don't have to be in our blues" he said to her as she nodded yawning.

"How you feeling?" He asked her

"Cold" she said as he crawled into the bed next to her pulling her to him

"how about tonight we have curry, a nice hot one. we'll watch a bit of TV and then we'll soak in  a nice hot tub" He said to her as she sighed

"Sounds perfect! What did I do to deserve you?" She asked him

"aaaah, you sat next to me at the academy!" He said to her as she laughed

"Dang knew that was a mistake" She said as he pulled her to him kissing her

"Honestly though, doesn't this scare you?" She asked him as he shook he's head

"Does my PTSD scare you?" He asked her as she shook hers

"Then that's all that matters" He said to her as she leaned up to kiss him

"Not feeling sick anymore?" He asked her

"No I think that's passed. I'll probably just get dizzy spells and mostly likely black out for a few seconds but no more vomiting" she said to him. To him that had been the scariest part. He'd even called he's brother to make sure it was normal, which apparently it was but it still didn't stop him from panicking. Seeing her curled up on the bathroom floor in only booty short and crop top sweating even though they where coming into the christmas and to be totally honest her place was freezing cold. 

They relaxed that night, eating, lounging around and then in the bath. Erin loved he's protective hold and the fact that he doesn't judge. Later that night as she shivered against he's hold he knew that there was definitely not one else for him and that was he's last thought as he slipped into sleep.

"Thank you guys for coming in today. Erin you definitely have this next week off Platt's orders but also mine" he said sliding documents across he's desk to the three officers in front of him

"What's this dad?" She asked him

"Just look" he said to her smirking as Jay read the top of the letter

"Detective?" he asked Voight

"All three of you showed amazing gut out there last week and for that I'm calling all three of you up" He said to them as they all looked shell shocked

"ah ah you sure?" asked Kim

"Dead serious! Otherwise we wouldn't be here" Said Erin looking over at her as she nodded

"I don't know why I deserve this" She said to him

"You kept your head when I was loosing mine" said Erin as she nodded along with Voight

"A cop that can keep her head is a pretty damn good one that deserve a shot at something bigger" Said Voight

"can you team afford three more people?" Asked Jay

"Of course we can and I've also called in your friend Mouse. We could use him too" he said

"What about Jin?" Asked Erin

"I've dealt with that. He knew where you where all along" he said as Jay stood up

"He what?" he asked

"Sit down, he's been dealt with trust me, and the others out there" Said Voight as Jay sat back down

"So you'll all start next week. As your sergeant you're taking the week of. Recover! Kim take Adam home will you" He said to her as she nodded as they walked out to their new team all clapping, Jules bounding up to them

"I am so happy to have more girls!" She said to them as they laughed

"happy to be here" said Jay shaking hand with them.

"Adam! You're with me!" Yelled Kim walking down the stairs

"We've got the week off so we'll see y'all next monday" Said Erin walking out with Jay behind her. They got down stairs and the patrolman down stairs all started clapping for them too as Erin blushed hiding into Jay as he laughed

"Congrats" said Platt as jay walked over to shake hands with her

"Welcome to the 21st Chuckles" She said to him

"Detective Chuckles thank you!" he said as she laughed at him before hugging Erin as they walked out

"I was not expecting that!" said Erin laughing as they climbed into Jay's car

"You and me both" He said starting the car and pulling away
