The Devil's Daughter

CHAPTER 7

Max's p.o.v

I can feel the cold floor beneath me, the cold wall behind me and the presence of three other people in the room. I moan as I move and  slowly open my eyes "oh and look she's up to have more fun" I hear James voice

"Max are you okay?" I hear rin call out to me, he doesn't sound hurt. I sit up and my head is spinning, it must have been from the thing that knocked me out. I lean up against the wall as I allow my vision to clear. when it does I see rin on the other side of the room with one of his wrist chained to it about shoulder height. When I look around James is just walking out of the door and has left rin and I in the small room "max?" rin calls my name and I snap out of my thoughts

"Yes im fine my head is just spinning though but I am fine" I replied, I hear rin sigh in relief. I scan my body for any chains and none are on me "James knew that if he put chains on you, you would just melt it off" rin stated, I rubbed my eyes and stood up, using the wall as support. I begin to walk closer to rin when the door opens "oh your up and walking" James stated walking in to the room. He shut the door behind himself and stalked toward me

"Now I can taste the blood I have been craving" James smiles, I stumble back a little. Was James a vampire? Or did demons like the taste of blood? Or did he just say that in a way to tell rin and I he was going to kill me? I look to rin and he was fighting against the chain around his wrist, i look back to James and I didn't realise how close he really was getting and in seconds he was pushing me up an against the walk "mmm your blood smells better when you're scared and confused" James smirks

"Get off me" I yell trying to push James hands off my body and him away from me "get off her!" rin yells, James hands begin to go under my shirt and my struggling is making him more violent. Its not long after he is at my neck kissing it "no stop. James!" I yell

"let her go!" rin yells again, I hear the chain break just as I can feel his fangs touch my neck but before they can dig in to my skin James is ripped off me and replaced with Rin's back. I stumble forward and fall in to rin, I push off rin, standing straight. I look around him to see that James and rin are just staring at each other "are you thick? You do realise that I could kill you right?" James snarled

"I don't care. If im going to die then I will use my last breath to protecting max" rin growled back at him. I go to step around rin and hit James but rin must have felt that I was going to do that since he wrapped an arm around my waist as I still stood behind him. There was a short silence before James has grabbed rin by the neck and pulling him away from me "fine then she will be the last person you see before you bleed to death" James said them stabs rin in the chest

"Rin no!!" I scream, James drops rin and I drop to my knees but James grabs me and holds me back up "let go of me you bastard!!" I scream at James as I punch and kick him then for some reason James let's go of me and I run straight to rin kneeling beside him. I try to stop the bleeding but only stopping a little of it "max stop it no use" rin said, I look at him and his gaze is soft and loving

"Rin please don't leave me" I cry, tears flow from my eyes and down my face

"Im so sorry I didn't protect you" rin said putting his hand up to my face. I lean in to his hand and look in to his eyes "rin im scared of being alone" I tell him, he smiles

"Your never alone max" rin assured her. Rin's eyes began to close and the bleeding slowly stopped. Tear flowed from my eyes as I slowly felt my heart break, I lost the only man that made me feel safe, I was so stubborn, I refused his help and I got him killed. As I sob with rin laying in front of me I feel James walk towards me and pull me away from rin "let me go!!!" I scream and then suddenly my body felt like it was on fire but the pain only lasted a few seconds before disappearing, a raging hot orange fire pulsed out of my body and filled the room. James yells in pain and lets go of me, I look down at my hands. I look down at my hands and the rest of my body is surrounded by a bright orange flames spread across my body, I can feel my tail swaying back and forth, the tip of my tail was a bright orange flame instead of the lion like hair it normally had. I look to James and he is holding his face in pain. My breathing begins to escalate and tear begin to flow out of my eyes again, I fall to my knees and fire flows out of me and spread through the room again and the room is in golfed in flames. in a matter of seconds, my vision begins to fade and I enter an empty void of darkness with only the sound of burning wood.
