CHAPTER 6

Rin's p.o.v

I can't let her get hurt, I look down at my hands my nails are sharpening and my ear are pointed at the top, I can feel my fangs come through and I know im a danger to max. Im a demon that can't control his powers, what kind of demon doesn't know how control his powers. I punch the tree beside me as the thought of me hurting max pops into my head "what's your problem?" I hear James ask

"What do you want?" I turn and ask James as he stands there smiling

"Well I need you" James smiles. I then feel a sharp pain in my neck and my body instantly gets heavy "you bastard" I say before my eyes close and everything goes black and silent.

Max's p.o.v

"Come on pick up you idiot" I whisper to myself as I walk around my room, I haven't heard or seen rin in like two weeks. I hand up my phone and teleport to the underworld, yes I learnt how to teleport. I teleport straight to the throne room and my father is just walking in "Maxine?" he asked in confusing

"Hey dad you haven't seen rin by any chance?" I asked

"No he should be with you" he replied sounding a little pissed

"No I haven't seen him for two weeks" I stated. My father now has a pissed look on his face "what's wrong?" I asked

"He is meant to be with you at all time and why didn't you tell me?" he replied

"Because I thought he was here and I can teleport so I was fine" I answered, my father nodded

"Well ill see in to this. you should go home its getting late" he said and walked off. I sigh and teleport back to my room where I just fall on to my bed, then I hear something out in the kitchen I jump to the sudden sound and sit up "hello" I yell out, I stand up and walk to my door but as soon as I touch the door frame I am tackled to the ground. I kick the person off me and quickly get to my feet, noticing im in a warehouse. I try to teleport out of it but I can't. I look to where the man who brought me here would have landed but he wasn't there, looking around i notice that he left the door open.idiot. What kind of kidnapper is this dude? I can escape easily right now, I step out of the room and into a hallway. I look both ways "which way do I go?" I ask myself, then i hear a males yell in pain and it sounds familiar, for some reason I go toward the yelling and not long down the hallway. It opens up to a large room and in the middle of the room,
hanging from his wrists is rin. I cover my mouth as I scan him, his only in pants and he is covered in bruises, cuts and blood. His hair is covering his eyes and his wrists are cut and bleeding, I take a few steps forward and then just run to him "rin?" I whisper I put my hand up to his neck and check his pulse and he's still alive

"Rin can you hear me?" I ask, he groans a little and moves

"Max?" he asked in a confused, weak voice

"Yeah it's me kiddo we need to get you down" I state and look around

"No you need to get out of here" I hear him say, I see a leaver and walk to it. I pull down on it and rin is slowly dropped to the ground, I run back to him and unravel the chains from him hands. I help rin to his feet and support him with one of my hands on his chest "and where do you think you're going?" I here James say then a huge hot pain rush through my body but most of the pain comes from my side. I yelp and groan at the sudden pain and fall to one kneel, rin then tries to help me up but he is too weak. I look up at James's who has green flames in his hands "you bastard, leave her alone" rin yells

"Or what you gonna go all hell fire?" James mocks

"tie him up and chain her to the wall" I hear a man say, then two man pull me away from rin and pull me to the wall, chaining one of my hands on a long chain connected to the wall they had thrown me at. James walked over to rin and his hand began to glow green again "no James please" I pleaded

"What? Do you care about him?" James smirked

"James please take me instead just please don't hurt him again" I begged

"And what's in it for me if I don't hurt him?" James asked

"You can hurt me, torture me, break me I don't care just please don't hurt him" I begged again. James pause and thought about my offer "hmmm no" he said and his glowing hand grabs his neck

"James please stop!!" I scream as rin yells in pain. I begin to feel a really hot, I look down at my chains and they basically just melt away I don't waste time and jump to my feet, punching James in to face. I turn to rin and his breathing is shaky, I feel my heart tighten just at the sound of his breathing. I look to his side and it's all burnt "max?" rin asks with a weak, husky voice as he lifts his head up and I see his blues eyes, they look so sad almost broken but they have a hint of pain, suffering and sorry. I reach out to rin and place my hand on his cheek, he leans into my touch until I am grabbed and then there was a sharp pain in my neck, my vision instantly begins to fade and my body is getting heavy. I drop to the floor and I hear rin yelling but I don't know what he is saying, my vision goes black as I fall unconscious.
