~Christmas Eve~
♥Kenzie's Point Of View♥
"Wake up..." Someone shook me.
"No." I grumbled, hugging my pillow to my face.
"Kenzie, wake up. We have to get going." It was Austin. I immediately smiled, and looked up. He smiled down at me, and kissed my cheek.
"Morning, Princess."
I love when he calls me that. Princess.
"Good morning." I smiled, before getting out of bed. I walked to the bathroom, and grabbed my toothbrush.
Christmas. God, I love this holiday. It's my favorite. Not because of the presents. I'm not one of those girls. I love spending time with all my family and friends. I love the smell of hot chocolate and cookies on Christmas Day.
I just love it.
"So," Austin came up behind me as I began brushing my teeth. "What's on our agenda today?" He asked, leaning against the wall, behind me, looking at me from the mirror. I covered the front of my mouth as I spit, so that he wouldn't see the spit.
Because that wouldn't be attractive...
"Nothing much, really. I'm going to see if Lynn needs any help for any of the decorations." I told him, before I continued to brush my teeth. I saw him nod, and I finished brushing my teeth.

After I showered, I changed into a pair of jeans, and a t-shirt. It started snowing a couple of days ago, so I'm not trying to get all prettied up, if i'm going to be wearing a coat.
It makes sense to me...
So I put on my coat, and met Austin downstairs, waiting for me. "Alright, i'm ready." I told him. He nodded, and we left my house.
***-Night Time-
People were already arriving for the party at dad's house, and I was upstairs in one of the bathrooms. I finished my makeup, and grinned at my appearance.
I was wearing a red lace skater dress, with a black leather jacket, in case I had to go out in the cold later, and I wore some plain black heals. I had a charm necklace that dad got me last year, with the letter 'K' on it, and my hair was done in a braid thick bun. To top off my outfit, I had a black clutch, with encrusted jewels.
I reapplied my red lip stick, and dropped the tube in my clutch before taking a deep breath. I turned on my heal, and stepped out of the bathroom, to the hallway. I smiled at my cousin, Cassidy. "Kenzie!" She squealed, walking up to me. Obviously, she couldn't run in those heals.
"Hey, Cass!" I smiled, hugging her.
"You look hot, McCann." She smiled. I laughed.
"Same with you, Smith." I winked. Her father married my mom's sister, and his last name was Smith. Does that make sense? I hope it does.
Anyway..
She giggled, and I motioned for her to follow me down the stairs, where lots more of the family were. "How's life been, Cuz?" I asked my favorite cousin. We always hung out when we were little. We are the same age, but i'm older by three months. She's always been like a sister to me.
"Great. Dad has a surprise for you," She winked. "But, I'll tell you about that later. How have you been?" She asked as we reached the bottom of the steps.
"Great, actually," I cocked my head to the side slightly, and smiled. "My life is actually.. Really good at the moment." Images of Austin filled my mind, and I laughed at how typical that is.
