Love Me Chapter Fourteen

Chapter Fourteen:

McKenzie's Point Of View:

I woke up, to the bed empty. I yawned as I sat up, and rubbed my eyes with my hand. I grabbed my phone and checked the time; 10:29am.

I sighed and put my phone back on the bedside table before heading to the bathroom. I suspected that Austin would be inside, but, to my surprise, he wasn't.

After I showered, I changed into a pair of jeans, and I tank top, with a pullover sweater. I wore my black UGG's and I put my wavy hair in a high ponytail, putting in a purple bow, to match my pullover. When I finished changing, I did my make up before putting on my glasses. There were two strands of hair hanging out, and I thought I looked good..

Anyway, I went down stairs when I was done with my appearance. In the kitchen, drinking coffee and reading the newspaper, was my mom!

"Mom!" I squealed. By the time I ran over to her, she placed her coffee mug on the island, along with the newspaper, and wrapped her arms around me.

"Hey, Honey!" She giggles.

"Oh my gosh, Mom, I missed you so much!" I said, hugging her even tighter.

"And I missed you!" She agreed.

She pulled away, holding me shoulders, a huge smile on her face. "How's everything been?" She smiled.

"Fine." I shrugged and smiled back.

"Where's the boyfriend?" She wiggled her eyebrows at me.

I shrugged. "I honestly don't know. I thought that he would be down here, but I guess not." I said.

"Oh.. Well, what happened while I was gone?" She asked, as we sat on the bar stools.

"Well... A lot of arguments, that's for sure." I giggled, and she chuckled. "But, Austin told me he loves me." I grinned.

"Oh! Mickey, I'm so happy for you!" She squealed and used my nickname, making me laugh.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"What else?" She pressed.

"Nothing much, really. We just did things with Mason and Jazzy." I said.

"And where are they?" She asked.

"Jase took them to Grandma's house." I told her.

"Oh.. And where is Jason?" She asked.

"Sleeping." I said and she laughed.

"How did I not know?" She joked, making me laugh along with her.

"I don't know, Mum." I smiled, and she rolled her eyes at me.

"Well, you had a good week?" She asked.

I thought about everything that has happened in the last week. "Its half and half." I shrugged.

"Why? What happened?" She asked. I sighed, before telling her the whole Unknown story.

"Wait, so Beck Gilbertson, from North Carolina, is the guy who's been stalking you?" She was shocked. I nodded. "Oh my goodness, I never would have guessed." She said.

"Yea. Yesterday, he showed up. And, uh, he kissed me. And Austin sort of saw and he literally beat the crap out of Beck." I said, and she laughed.

I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help the smile on my face. My mom, is literally like my best friend.
