CHAPTER 1

 * Amy *

~Last Friday Night ~

It was a regular chilly February Friday Night in Beverly Hills, CA, time: 9:30 a.m.

I was relaxing in my bedroom solving some math equations when I heard something really loud outside.

Was that music?

I immediately stood up from my bed and went to look out of the window.

 WOW!

In Alie's garden, was all of the high school body. But why th-

Oh, no.! That means one thing.

 Party.

 Great.

I stood there watching as the football players started to throw champagne all over everyone. Huh? I guess they won the game eh? Well I didn't bother to go to that game everyone had been crazy about since the new school year started. I mean I don't see what the big deal is. Some jocks throwing a ball from the one side to the other...it's just simple. I don't like simple things. I'm used to difficult.

Bump. Bump. Bump.

‘‘What the...?’’

Oh great. They brought a rock band too.

Bump. Bump. Bump.

I sighed and walked back to my bed. I grabbed my notebook and continued to solve my equations. Within thirty seconds...

Bump. Bump. Bump

‘‘Ugh.’’

That's enough.

I jumped out of the bed and walked outside the house. I past Alie's and my front yard and then made my way to her front door. A few people were outside making out and flirting. Huh? I guess Alie made clear to all to stay away from the bedrooms.

I knocked the door really hard a couple of times until it opened and Alie showed up. Alie had been my best friend and my neighbor since Elementary school. She wasn't a nerd like me. She was a cheerleader and she loved to dance and party. But she was a really good girl and good student. That's why we were best friends.

"Hey!’’ she cheered hugging me tightly. To my surprise she wasn't drunk. Actually to my surprise she never was drunk. She just was herself. Cheerful and excited. Not my thing.

‘‘Hey’’ I said to her moody. "Can you please keep the noise down?  I'm trying to sleep and... ’’ I trailed off hoping she get the hint to close the music. Like NOW!

"Sorry." she said giving me a small sad smile "But this is not my party. "

 What she was talking about?

 How can this par-

 Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Oh no!

She wasn't her party. But her brother's.

 Blake's party.

Blake. That name always made my heart wild and wanting to jump out of my chest. Blake Richardson had been my crush since 5th grade. When we were in Elementary school we used to be the best of friends with Alie but when we started high school Blake changed. He became the typical football jock hanging out only with football players. Then he just started fooling around with girls and, well, you can imagine the rest.
