Hewoooo its Theresa:) Long time, no see right? well here's yet another new story for you all! let's see if I actually stick with it this time. bye lovelies

hugs and kisses to my misses

Hey! I'm Kaylee Josiah. Just your typical Senior in high school, in Utah. Normally nothing interesting happens in Utah. Especially where I live. Oh, but not today my friends, not today. Just this week there has been a freak blizzard. The sparkling white snow has capped itself all around my town. Normally I wouldn't give a flying crap. But this time around, the roof of my house desides to cave in. Joy! So here I am, coming home from school to a broken house. What a fun way to end a tuesday.

"Mom, what the heck happened here?" I asked annoyed. I'm more mad at the snow then anything. I pull my navy blue pea coat around my body tighter. It was a wee bit chilly out.

"Oh honey. The roof decided to finally cave in on us. I guess that's what I get for not getting it replaced." She stares at the seeping house with misery. "Your dad is on his way home now."

Dad! Good thing he wasn't working from home today. He could have gotten seriously injured. My dad works at the hospital downtown. He's an Emergency Room doctor. So my pops is always dealing with kooky things you see on doctor shows.

I shivered slightly and wrapped my arms around my body. I saw my mom turn away to cry, her auburn hair flying in the wind.

"Mom, it's okay! We can just call the insurance and get this under control". I try comforting her by throwing my arms around her petite frame. "Calm down."

"Kaylee, honey I don't know if or how this can be fixes. I hope we can retrieve our belongings when the police comes." She shifts out of my reach and wraps her hair around her ears. I know it's because she's trying to keep our dog under control, but still that kind of hurt. I just brush it off.

"Baby, can you stay here? I need to go for a walk." My mom swiftly starts to walk away into the fluffy air. I let her go, watching her frame until I couldn't see her fluffy red jacket in the distance.

Wow this is really hurting her. I do understand though. All of our belongings are stuck inside. Awe man! My laptop is stuck in my now sopping wet bedroom. Everything. Gone. Well at least for now. The neighborhood has started to wander up to my front lawn. Asking questions and wondering if anyone was hurt. I gave them the full rundown of everything. That is, until the police came. My mom still wasn't back yet, so I talked to them.

My dad finally came home an hour or so later. He was utterly pissed and could barely contain his anger when the authorities gave him the grave news. I saw my mom finally come up her walk and run into my dad's arms.

"Dave, everything is Gone! What are we going to do?" She was red in the face. I don't know if it was from the cold or if she was still crying. she buried her frosted face into my dad's bulky shoulder.

"Ma'am calm down. I know this is traumatic, but you need to remain under control. " a cute brutish police man walked up. He looked at me with those warm eyes. Yup that's my boyfriend for sure. Damn he looked hot with his brown and tan uniform. And those badges. Whew!

Colten walked over to my parents and pulled my parents aside. Whispering to them softly. The sun started to set and I can still see the white flakes luminescent in the sky. The crowd started to disperse but not before I saw my best friend and her family run up.

"Kaylee I'm so sorry! Her blue freckled eyes were sincere. She tugged at her hair. She tends to do that when she's nervous or doesn't have anything to say. "What are you gonna do?"

"I don't know Avery. This hasn't really hit me quite yet. " "Are people talking yet?"

Avery pulled her hat over her blonde hair more. "No, not yet. But you do know they will. What's with this town and gossip." She scoffed. That made me laugh because Avery is the biggest gossiper I've ever met. But I still love her.

Avery's parents walked up to me and gave me a big bear hug. I could smell Mrs. Gregor's sweat Daisy perfume. They practically raced to my parents to comfort them.

"Now, now." I heard them start. I couldn't hear them because Colten started to pull me away. I was wondering who was pushing me. But I knew once I smelled his cologne and felt his built torso.

" Avery. A-. AVERY!" Colten had to yell her name three times to get her attention. She was day dreaming. Huh typical, probably about her latest crush.

Colten motioned to his beat up mobile. Avery pulled the hair from her mouth and ran forwards us. "What's going on?"

"Ave mom told me to take you two back home. She's worried about Kaylee's parents." He gave Avery a serious look. "Hop in."

Avery and Colten are brother and sister if you couldn't tell yet. Avery is the same age I am, 18. But Colten is a freshman at the community college and works with the authorities.

I slipped into the passenger seat with one quick move. Once he started up the motor I fixed my body towards the window. I couldn't just leave yet. Colten reached over to cup my face. I looked into his dark brown eyes for comfort.

"It's not going to be fixable is it?" I started to feel tears go down my soft face

The next sentenced dreaded my heart.

"No. I'm afraid it can't be fixed." He looked at me with a saddened gaze.

The tears where flowing greatly now. Colten grasped my hand as he pulled away from the worn away curb. Leaving my parents in misery. And leaving memories for good.

Avery popped up and tried to cheer me up. She stuck her face in between ours, her blonde wavy hair catching my mouth. Gross. I started coughing and then she finally noticed.

"Oh! Sorry. Well my parents said you all can stay with us as long as you need." There's no rush."

Well that is a generous offer. I tilt my head to my bubbly friend. "That's sweet of you guys. Thank you! But I don't know if we can." "I do appreciate it."

I twirled my hair around my finger.

"Kaylee, come on!" Colten brushed his hand across my face gently. Oh he knows how much I do love that. "It would be fun. And where else would you go?"

Colten's right. Where would we go? The motel? Hell to the no.

I stared out the window to contemplate. The road started to seem familiar to me. Yup we were on our way to Gregor manor. The Gregor's live in the rich part of town. They are the sweetest people I've ever met. They don't let money control them.

"Well here we are." Colten parked his car onto the long driveway. "Careful though, it's icy out here." Colten slammed his door shut and I found him walking to my side.

"Kaylee, I'll just get my room all comfortable for you. See you inside. You two can have your moment. " Avery practically gagged at the last comment making both of us laugh.

Oh I love his laugh. It sounds like jingling bells. So sweet. The moon started to make its way through the clouds. Sparkling off the snow. But it also caught my eye on something else. A moving van next door.

"Is someone moving in?" I asked as I wrapped myself around his body. He reached down to snuggle up to my neck. Oh my god does he know my weak spots. I gave out a little giggle as he pulled my lips to his plump own.

We shared some kisses before he pulled back softly. "Yeah babe. Some family with some badass son. He has a record from som bull shit. We had to talk to his parents yesterday." He reached for my hand and we started up the walk.

Before we made it to the steps I saw something, a tall figure in the corner of my eye. I turned to look, looking straight into the eyes of trouble.

Well that's it! I hope this was a little entertaining ☺️ the story will deff pick up soon. I will try to have a chapter up every week. Maybe twice a week of I'm feeling it. Thank you for reading ☺️ hugs and kisses!
