Chapter Four~ A new girl

Here is the new chapter of “My New Neighbor” I hope you enjoy it! Please read the little note I left at the end of the chapter J

~Theresa

I continued to scribble down notes as Jayden continued to stare. I could feel his eyes pierce my soul. Drama queen much? I don’t care. It was getting a wee bit uncomfortable for me.

“ Awe man you don’t want to welcome me? Bummer. You seemed so sweet last night.” He smirked at me making my face blush more profusely. “Awe look at that you’re even blushing. Cute.”

“Okay can you stop? I’m trying to pay attention and I don’t need you interrupting me.” I spat back at him. I gathered up my pencil sharpener and fixed my dull pencil.

“Someone is sassy today. OUCH! Kitty has got some claws. “ Jayden laughed and tried to annoy me some more.

Ping

OH wow someone dropped their pencil. What a stereotypical move for a girl.  I saw it roll across the shiny white floor to the worn down, scruffy black chucks.

Ahem. I saw Belly clear her throat. “ Can you pick that up for me please?” She batted her big doe eyes at Jayden. “ I don’t know how it got all the way over there.”

Jayden just gave her a sly smile, winked, and picked up her pencil. “ Here you go, don’t want to loose that.” He poked her in the side, which started a full on flirt war. Excuse me so I can go puke please.

I really wanted to pay attention to the lesson. But all I could notice were his hands continuing to grab her waist, and her reaching back to tickle his knee. Sickening. I know, call me a hypocrite. I have a boyfriend, we do those things too. But in class? Just calm yourself.

I was going to say something to them when-

“Mr. Jayden. I know this is your first day, so I will start you off with a warning. Please leave Isabella alone and pay attention” She looked at him over her glasses. “And as for you Ms. Conklin, lunch detention tomorrow.” She turned around in a huff.

Belly pushed back into her seat and let out an annoying scoff.

“Here is your homework for the night. I expect it to be finished by the next time I see you. You all have three minutes to back up.” Mrs. Chandler dusted off her hands and passed out two pieces of paper. Then she returned to her desk in a tired sigh.

The bell rang signaling third block. I started to leave in the mess of people, when I felt a slight tug. “Catch ya later, neighbor.”  Jayden gave me a wink and walked off into the enormous hallway. More like a sea of people.

Buzz buzz buzz

My phone went off. It was my parents! They didn’t call be but instead sent a text.

Hey honey, just wanted to say that we just landed. I didn’t want to call you during school and interrupt things. I’ll call you later tonight. Stay safe and have a great rest of the day.

Love, Mom

Good. At least I know that they made it in one piece.

The rest of the day seemed to drag on endlessly. It was just one of those bland days. As the last bell rang, I booked it to the student parking lot. The halls are like a riot after school. People screaming and bustling around, knocking things off the walls.  Just a huge commotion

I found Drew leaning against Avery’s car. He had on shiny, black ray bans, even though it was extremely cloudy. But that’s Drew for you!

“Hey”. I slumped my backpack in front of the passenger side. “ What did you need to talk about?’
