Battle of the Bands

Chapter 8

Skylar's POV

We had been driving for about 30 minutes. Ryder wasn't flirting that much with me but he did throw in a 'sweet cheeks' from time to time.

"How long is this damn ride going to take?!" I asked. I was getting very impatient especially with a damn surprise.

"We will be there soon sweet cheeks. You will love it" he gave me a megawatt smile and a quick wink.

I looked in the review mirror and it was so funny to see Hunter and Bre in their own little world it was also very sweet. They had somehow scooted way closer to eachother and were met in the middle of the seats the only thing restraining them from jumping into eachothers laps was the seatbelt. I smiled to myself ya they were definitely getting together I would make sure of it.

"Were finally here guys" Ryder announced to all of us

"Yes!" we all said at the same time

I jumped out of the car as fast as I could and, finally looked around. We were at lake in a big open field it was beautiful and everything just looked so gorgeous with the may flowers growing all around and a big oak tree next to the lake with a tree house up in the branches and what looked like carvings on the trunk but I couldn't tell from here.

"What is this place?" I asked in amazement

"It's so beautiful" Bre commented

"It's were we used to run away too in middle school and kind of all our lives. We built that tree house and made the rope swing. Nobody knows about this place except, us and well now you guys" Ryder explained

Wow this is so special that he actually shared this place with us. I turned and smiled brightly at him this morning and him long forgotten.

"Come on I want to show you guys around abit" Ryder said grabbing my hand so I then, grabbed Bre's while she grabbed Hunter's.

Ryder tugged us all over to the big oak tree and looked at me and said "Ladies first" bowing and thrusting his hand forward dramaticly.

I knew 'ladies first' was just guy talk for 'hey I want to look at your ass while being a gentleman' but being the tease I was I swung my hips more than usually just hoping to get a rise out of him. I heard a small groan so I knew I had down my job.

Finally I had crawled through the opening in the bottom of the floor and I looked up at the little house it was so cute. They had little posters of old and new rock bands alike, a little futon thing, 2 windows also, some books, magazines and, pens, paper, and colorings items.

I looked over realizing that everybody else had finally climbed up. Bre was just like me looking around in awe and admireration.

"This is so cool guys!" I praised them

"Hell ya" Bre continued

"Ya we made it awhile back for the two of us" Hunter told us

"Hey do you guys usually go swimming in the lake?" I was itching to get in the water

"Um duh why do you think you have a bathing suit on and we made a rope swing!" Ryder said looking so excited

"Then what the hell are we waiting for" Bre asked smiling

"Leggo" Hunter exclaimed

We all proceeded to climb down the tree and, I was just about to take my tank-top off when Ryder stopped me.

"Hey Skylar can you come here a sec?"

"Um ya sure" I replied as I walked over to him. Uh-oh what's this about
