Battle of the Bands

Chapter 10

Ryder's POV

I was walking back from PE but, I had to stop in to library to return my book because they wouldn't stop sending me these little annoying reminders.

After I dropped of my book I was walking to my locker so I took a shortcut and cut through the back of the library and as I was passing the bulletin board full of abunch of flyers a very special one caught my attention.

I snatched the flyer of the board and grinned to myself reading the flyer. Then I turned and ran off the find Hunter, Bre and, most importantly Skylar.

Skylar's POV

"Ryder stop shaking the damn paper I can't read it!" I yelled out in frustration. I'm over here trying to read and this idiot is waving it about.

"River Valley 10th annual fair" (a/n: I honestly don't know if 'river valley is a real place I just liked the name so ya)

"Oh no way I almost forgot this was coming up!" hunter exclaimed after I finished reading aloud

"What is this?" Bre and I asked in confusion

"It's the 10th annunal fair here. It's  this big huge thing every year. It has a bunch of rides, food, games and almost everybody goes" Ryder explained

"It's so cool! one year Ryder decided to drink a whole 6 pack of beers then go on the zipper. He threw up so bad the lady was so mad and she was just screaming and Ryder was just groaning and throwing up then, she kicked us out" Hunter explained laughing

"Hey shut up we said we would never talk about that again" Ryder whined

"It sounds stupid guys" I admitted. I didn't think it was stupid but I just don't like places like that to many people especially crying rowdy kids. I mean I just can't deal with it

"Oh come on it actually sounds like fun. I mean we could use a break from all this school work" Bre complained while giving me puppy eyes and shooting a suggestive look to Hunter. So being the amazing best friend I am I put up my hand in surrender and said "Fine whatever.   I'll go"

"Great sweet cheeks we can go and ride the Ferris wheel and I will win you a big Teddy bear like in the movies" Ryder grinned pulling me into his chest

"Ha um no thanks. I can win my own stuff animals if I want to. Plus, a fair would be a great place to look for a cute guy" I grinned looking over at Bre and pulling her to my side

"You know it girl!" she bumped her hip with me

I looked up and I could see Hunter fuming clearly jealous. When I turned to Ryder I saw something in his eyes I couldn't quite read but I just shrugged it off.

"Well when the hell is this stupid thing going on?!" I finally asked realizing I knew no details about it.

"It's set for next Saturday night" Hunter explained reading the flyer

"Hey we need to go shopping now" Bre giggled

Ugh I hated shopping I mean I loved like taking the clothes home and having them but I hated going through all the work of trying them on and walking around. Lazy I know. Oh well that's me.

"Looooovely" I said sarcastically dragging out the word

I started walking out the school with everybody following close by. 

"Alright well I will see you guys later bye" I called to the boys

"Hey Bre can I drive"

"Hell no you would probably wreck my baby" she exclaimed while getting in the car
