Tame Impala is probably one of the best known bands to come from the modern Australian music scene. It is also known (unofficially) as the band with the groovy bass lines. They are from Perth and have become quite big over the years.

Tame Impala was a psychedelic band formed in 2007 by Kevin Parker. Kevin Parker is the mastermind behind this band. He writes, sings, plays and produces and records almost everything except for some stuff. He does get help from others obviously but majority he manages by himself which is pretty amazing. (When touring Kevin does have a band!)

Kevin Parker is well known for his groovy scarves, high falsetto and to some people is basically a musical Jesus

By 2010 after a bunch of singles Tame Impala released their first studio album: Innerspeaker. This was the first time Parker focused on recording something that was actually for release. The previous singles were mainly for fun. Innerspeaker was psychedelic rock to the core, using elements from the 1960s but giving it a modern spin. It is very trippy and groovy. The singles for this album were: Solitude is Bliss, Lucidity, Expectation and Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind?
