“Leah?” I’m so happy she’s here. At the same time, I promised myself that I would distance myself from her. It’s not too easy when she’s showing up everywhere; at school, at parties, in my head. As I watch her, her eyes is telling Louis something, but I can’t tell what they’re trying to say. Her eyes are burning, igniting my whole body. Fuck.

“You probably think I’m stalking you or something. I kinda work here.” She explains while laughing.

“Yeah… Leah works here, she’s always on time and so honest.” Louis rolls his eyes, smirks and chuckles.

“I’m gonna make you crazy.” She says, laughing as well. She has no idea. You’re already making me crazy, my subconscious adds. I spot Liam coming through the doors, and I find myself being relieved from his arrival. I give him a little wave and he starts walking in our direction.

“This is Louis, and Leah, the girl I told you about.” I introduce them and I look over at Leah. She’s not even blushing.

“And this is Liam.”

“The Liam who wants a beer?” Louis asks and starts pouring him one. Liam nods thankfully and I see more and more people coming through the door as we all talk and drink.

“I gotta go do what I’m here for.” Leah says and winks at me like she did the other night. My body is on fire. The three of us keep talking, Louis takes other orders as well as ours, and I can tell I’m starting to get a little tipsy. As Louis pours my 9th beer, a blonde girl takes the stage, illuminating the whole room with her eyes. She is so beautiful, and I can’t wait for her to sing for me… us.

Her mouth touches the microphone, and out comes a “ahem” wanting attention. It looks like she plays the guitar as well.

“So… welcome to everyone, new and regular guests.” She laughs a little and continues, “I’m gonna do three songs for you. A classic song, a new one turned into acoustic and finally, one of my own songs. Sounds good?” She asks the audience. They all cheer for her and she smiles. She starts strumming and the known melody of “Hotel California” comes out of the multiple speakers of the pub. Her voice is so rough, yet so fragile, and I love it. She is so good; I could listen to her forever. She continues with a new version of “We Are Young”, people seem to like it. The song is over and the applause is so loud that I have to cover my ears. I can feel the beer getting to my head, but I don’t care. When she starts giving compliments to the audience, the people stop cheering wanting to hear what she’s saying. I can finally hear Louis and Liam chatting, and I join in.

“I take it’s time for some shots?” Louis asks us with a smirk on his face.

“Only if you join us!” Liam shoots in. Louis walks over to Ty, who nods and Louis pours us six shots.

“This is gonna hurt like hell tomorrow” Louis says, still with a smirk on his face. “But first we’re gonna listen to this song. She said she just got some new inspiration and that she loves it. She never says that about her own songs.” New inspiration? Was there a tiny chance for her and me? Or someone else? I’m getting jealous of how well he knows her and I find myself more curious of their friendship, if that’s what it is.

“So have you been friends for a long time?” I hide my jealousy.

“Yeah, I’ve pretty much known her my whole life. She really is amazing.” I smile and we listen to her delicate words.

“Did I spot a romance there?” Liam asks with a smirk on his face.

“We messed around for some time until she moved to Cali, but no, we’re just best friends.” He smiles politely back at Liam. Fuck you, Liam. I didn’t need to know that. I still like Louis, though. She lived in Cali?

The script was written and I could not change a thing...” So fucking amazing.

“I want to rip it all to shreds and start again, one day I'll come into your world and get it right.”  She sings her heart out; the lyric was clearly written for someone, but for whom? I finally get out of my little Leah-trance by Louis and Liam cheering and toasting to her new song.

“That was fucking good.” Liam comments.

“Yeah, her best one so far.” Louis agrees. We do our shots and I see a little black dress coming to the bar. It’s all kind of a blurry.

“Hey guys! Did you like it?” She asks us.

“You fucking killed it! You were so good!” Liam congratules her and she says thank you.

“Do y’all wanna get a booth and then go to Hannah and Ivy’s apartment a little later?” She asks us. I know Liam is keen to meet Ivy again, and I would never waste a chance to spend time with Leah. We agree and get more drinks and get pretty pissed. Luckily, their apartment is only 10 minutes away from the pub. We're all staggering towards the apartment and we can feel all the drunken disasters lingering in the air.

// Hii. Second chapter of today, as promised. What do y'all think? Did someone recognize Leah's lyrics? ;) I really need some feedback soon, I love writing this story, but I'd love it so much more if I got feedback. Do you think it's exciting? Do you think it's boring and that something is missing? I'll be revealing a big plot twist really soon, so you need to keep reading lol. Please comment, vote and share!! :-)
