*Calum's POV*
I wait by Brooke's locker when the bell goes but she doesn't show up. I see Michael and Sarah walk into the locker bay, they had sport with her.
"Where's Brooke?" I ask them.
"Don't freak out man, but she had to go to hospital." Michael says. WHAT?!? She's in hospital?
"What happened?" I ask, I'm worrying now.
"She got hurt in P.E, we're all going to see her now, wanna come?" Michael asks.
"Um yes of course I want to go see my girlfriend while she's in hospital!" I say. Is he stupid?
When Luke and Ashton hear the news they look worried too. The boys, Sarah and I all start walking towards the hospital. Well they're walking as slow as they possibly can while I'm about to run.
When we get there we go to the reception desk and ask where she is.
"Level 3, room 15" The lady says. I run over to the elevators and press the button until the elevator doors open. I get straight in and the rest of the group make their way in too. We go up to level 3 and pile out, in search of room 15. When we find it we see that a doctor has just gone in. As much as it kills me, I know I need to wait until he leaves. It's taking so long and I cant see through the window either.
When he finally comes out I ask him if we can go in.
"You can, but she is a bit out of it due to the pain killers we gave her. She will most likely fall asleep within the next hour." The doctor says and nods before walking away. I open the door and walk in to find a sleepy Brooke on a hospital bed with a big cast around her ankle.
"Brooke! What happened? Are you okay?" I ask. Her eyes follow me walking around the bed and over to the chair next to her bed.
"I'm fine, just had an accident in footy" She says. I kiss her on the forehead, on the cheek, on the other cheek, and just everywhere. She smiles at me, and kisses my lips softly.
"Sit down Cal I'm fine it doesn't hurt anymore" She says.
"Because of the pain killers?" I question.
"I think so yeah" She says.
The other boys and Sarah all gave her a hug and found a seat somewhere. We all sat with Brooke until she fell asleep. Sarah was currently talking to her Dad on the phone about the tour. She went outside to call him. She seems really excited about it too. We all were.
She came back into the room with a massive smile on her face.
"I can go!" She says happily.
"Yay!" We all say.
"Shhhh sleep time" Brooke mumbles.
"Sorry sweetie" I say quietly. She can't really roll over because she had her ankle cast resting on a pillow and all the hospital things plugged into her.
"I've never been to a concert before, but now I'm going on a tour oh my god" Sarah says still smiling.
"Never been to a concert?" Luke asks in disbelief.
"The last one I went to was.." I start. I remembered what happened at the concert not long ago and I started smiling. "All Time Low". That concert will always be my favourite concert.
The other boys were smiling too like I was and Sarah looked confused.
"Am I missing something?" She asks.
"Calum, tell her about the All Time Low experience" Michael says, and I do. I tell her everything and she smiles in awe of it the whole time.
"Wow! I've never really heard them but that sounds amazing! Brooke is one lucky girl" She says.
"I sure am" Brooke mumbles again. She had a cute little smile on her face while her eyes were shut. Her dark hair was spread all over pillow and her hands were clasped together on her stomach. She looked beautiful.
The doctors came in and told us she had to go get X-rays done and wheeled her out of the room. It wasn't too long before they brought her back though, she was more awake this time however.
"I want to go home" She says when they leave.
"You can't just yet" I say and stroke her hair.
"I want to be in my bed with my boyfriend watching movies and eating ice cream" She says and a frown creeps on her face.
"How about I bring the ice cream and movies to you? I offer.
"That would be perfect" She says and her frown disappears.
"Okay I'll go get everything and I'll be back before you know it!" I say. I grab my bag off the floor, kiss her goodbye and head home.
*Brooke's POV*
The boys had all gone to get supplies for me, Sarah had to go home, but Michael stayed with me.
We were talking about the tour and he was so excited.
"Are you glad that Sarah is coming too? I am" I ask.
"Yeah!" He says enthusiastically.
"You and her would be a really cute couple" I say. It's true, they would.
"I don't think that will happen" He says bluntly.
"Well why not?" I ask, I thought he liked her.
"I don't like her in that way." He says.
"Well do you like anyone?" I ask him.
"I do, but I'm not saying who" He says and pulls out his phone.
"Aw Mikey has a crushhhhh" I tease and his cheeks go a light shade of pink.
"Shut up" He says slightly embarrassed.
"Do I know her" I ask.
"No" He says. He seems to really not want to talk about this.
"Does she go to our school?" I ask.
"No" He says sternly.
"Is she in this state?" I ask, I mean it could be a long distance relationship.
"No" He says.
"Is she in this country" I ask.
"No" He protests.
"Oooh a foreign girl." I say.
"Brooke just leave it!" He says.
"I'm sorry Michael I just wanted to know" I say in defence. I think it's about time Michael had a girlfriend.
"Fine, you really wanna know? Okay fucking fine I'll tell you! There is no SHE. Its a HE. That's fucking right, IM GAY" He says storming out the door.
Well I really did not see that coming! I feel horrible for pressuring him like that. I had no idea he was gay though! I think it's rather adorable however.
My thoughts were interrupted by the doctor opening the door carrying some x-rays and a clipboard.
"How are you feeling Brooke?" He asks.
"Great thanks" I say.
"Okay well we've examined your x-rays and it turns out your ankle is not broken, but sprained. You'll be able to go home tonight. You are going to need to be on crutches for three weeks and you'll also need to report to the hospital every Tuesday for a check up, until your ankle is better. You will be able to attend school but I strongly advise that you do not take part in any physical activity and take it easy. Do the minimal amount of walking." The doctor says.
"When can I go home tonight?" I ask. It's the only thing I really cared about.
"At 9 PM you will be able to leave. Your mother has been phoned but unfortunately can't get out of work so she will come to pick you up at 9" He says. Well at least I've got a lift home.
He leaves the room and I'm left alone. Thats when I remember to text Andy back.
Me: Hey Andy it's Brooke :) My ankle is only sprained, no biggy
Andy: Oh god I'm still so sorry! Can you walk on it?
Me: I've got some crutches and I can use them :) I'll be at school tomorrow too.
Andy: Oh thats good, I think. Feeling any better?
Me: Yeah I had pain killers and it doesn't hurt now :)
Andy: Okay thats good :)
Andy and I talk for a while until Calum returns with his laptop, a bag with a small ice cream tub and some spoons.
"Hey Cal" I say, I missed him.
"Hey babe" He says and kisses my forehead. He hands me the ice cream and spoons and sits on the bed next to me.
"Oh no its not big enough for both of us you might have to get closer" He says and winks at me.
"Oh well in that case.." I say and shuffle closer to him He was sitting up and i was still kind of laying down. I put my head in his lap and gave him a spoon.
"What movie are we gonna watch?" I ask him.
"Your choice" He says and opens a foler on his laptop with downloaded movies on it. I chose to watch The Little Mermaid, I just really love disney movies.
"Thank you Calum" I say and pull his head down so that I could kiss him. Our kiss was interupted by the door opening and Luke, Sarah and Ashton walking in.
"Hey guys" Ashton says and smiles.
"Hi" I say.
"Wheres Michael?" Calum asks.
"I dont know I thought he was with you?" Luke says.
"Nope he wasn't" Calum says. They all look at me for an answer.
"Um he went home, he was tired" I lie.
"Oh okay" They say.
They bring chairs around the bed and watch the movie with us. I was eating most of the ice cream and I dont know if Calum noticed or if he was just letting me. Either way it was amazing ice cream.
After the movie finished it was 8:30 and everyone but Calum had to leave. They all said their goodbyes and left, then it was just me and him. My mum had arrived and she was talking to the doctor just outside my room. Calum and I hadn't moved since he put the movie on, it was comfortable.
Mum came back in and sat at the end of my bed.
"You two look so cute" She says and I feel myself blush.
"Thanks mum" I say.
"Calum honey, you're welcome to stay over tonight if you want" She says. She knows me so well.
"If that's alright with you" He says and smiles.
"Its fine dear" She says and pats my leg that isnt sore. "Well we have to get going now" She says and grabs my crutches from the other side of the room.
"Cal, can you help me up?" i ask but he doesn't answer. He gets off the bed, sprints around to my side and throws my arm around his shoulder. I slide off the bed and grab hold of the crutches. I'm not used to them so I have to walk really slowly. Calum puts his laptop in my bag and then puts my bag on his back. We walk so slowly out to the car and I sit in the front seat with the chair pushed back and a pillow on the floor for my foot to rest on. Calum sits in the back.
When we get home Calum sets me a bed up on the couch since getting up and down stairs is going to be hard. He puts my phone on charge for me and puts the TV on for us to watch. Mum made herself toast and went to bed. I was really tired from pain killers still and kept drifting off to sleep so Calum gon in my couch bed with me and cuddled me so I could go to sleep easier, and it worked.
