Sarafina Carmen Weasley: Book 1

Station and Train Ride

Sarafina's POV

It was September first and I was going to Hogwarts with four of my brothers. Ginny whined saying she wanted to go also. Fred and George cheered her up saying we'd send her toilet seat. Mum scolded us saying we wouldn't. Once we arrived at the station we got trolleys for our luggage. Which for me included my trunk, Yuki in her carrier and a duffle bag.

"Packed with muggles" Mum told us as we walked through the station. "Come on, platform 9 and 3/4s this way" she said leading the way yo platforms nine and ten. Percy went through the barrier first and was then followed by the twins.

"Excuse me!" I heard a voice behind us call and turned to see a boy around my and Ron's age. He had unruly black hair and green eyes covered by broken glasses. "Can you tell me how to..." he trailed off pointing at the barrier.

"How to get onto the platform" I clarified and he nodded his head.

"Not to worry deary it Ron's and Sarafina's first time at Hogwarts as well" Mum told him. "Now all you got to do is walk straight at the wall between platforms nine and ten" she informed him. "Best to do a little if you're nervous" she told him and he nodded his head in thanks.

"Good Luck" Ginny said from where she was holding Mum's hand. Then he fast walked through the wall barrier. I followed with Ron, Ginny and Mum close behind me. Mum and Ginny started to wish us all a goodbye.

When Fred and George appeared from behind Ron scaring him. "You won't believe who we just met" Fred told us.

"Harry Potter" I guessed remembering the boy my Mum helped.

"How'd you guess?" George asked amazed.

"Mum told him how to get onto the platform" I stated.

"Oh I wandered why he was alone" Mum said looking at the train.

"We saw his scar, do you think he remembers that night?" the twins said.

"I forbid you to ask him Fred, George" Mum scolded them. "He is not some side show to gawk at" she told them firmly. She then hugged them goodbye and they helped me with my trunk. I then went to find a compartment to sit in.

I found one with a boy with dark who was a little chubby and a girl with bushy brown hair. "Can I join you?" I asked opening the sliding door. The girl nodded her head and I placed my duffle bag in the luggage compartment. "Do either of you mind if I let my cat our?" I asked.

"It doesn't eat toads does it?" the boy asked nervously.

"No, but she may play with it" I said shaking my head. As I took out my sleeping 8 month old Siamese kitten. She continued to sleep peacefully on my lap as I patted her.

"She is gorgeous, I'm Hermione Granger by the way" the girl introduced herself looking at my kitten.

"Nice to met you, I'm Sarafina Weasley" I introduced myself looking at the boy expectantly.

"Neville Longbuttom and this is my toad Trevor" the boy said quietly.

"This is Yuki" I told them gesturing to the kitten on my lap. We talked for awhile until the food trolley appeared. I got some sugar quills and Hermione got a cauldron cake for her and Neville each. She and I then left to change into our school robes. But when we got back to our compartment we saw Neville in a panic.

"What's wrong Neville?" Hermione asked.

"Trevor's missing" he told us sadly.

"He should still be on the train lets go ask if people have seen him" I suggested and they agreed.

The first compartment I went to had three boys and a girl in it my age. "Have you guys seen a toad?" I asked once I'd opened the door.

"No" said the blonde haired boy with sneer on his face. I turned to leave when he asked "you are Weasley are you not?" I turned to him and took in his appearances releasing he was a Malfoy.

"What's it to you Malfoy?" I asked wishing I had brought my wand that I left in my duffle bag.

"Nothing at all" he said with a smirk on his face and I left the compartment in a huff. When the other two got back they had no luck finding Trevor. Hermione did met Ron though and Harry Potter during her search. I laughed when she told me about the spell Ron had tried to do. It was a fake one given to him by Fred. I wished I had been there to see his face. I smiled proudly when she told me how she repaired Harry's glasses in front of them.

We saw arrived at another station and were told to leave our stuff behind as it would be taken to the castle separately. As we left the train we heard someone calling for first years and followed the voice. To discover a large man with a lantern waiting.  Once the other first years arrived he took us to boats.

He told us no more then for to a boat and I got stuck in one with strangers. Their names were Parvati and Padma Patil and Lavender Brown they seemed nice though. The boat ride was silent until we saw the castle then everyone started to talk excitedly.
