Hey folks so I've been asked by a few people to add my writing soundtrack. Of course since my novel is set in the 80s it only makes sense to find some super mysterious synth vibes to get the creative juices kicking!
If you don't have Soundcloud I seriously recommend signing up, it's free and you have access to a whole bunch of original cool stuff.
You may also notice on my profile page that my background is Crimson Pines in the Stranger Things font. Stranger Things is one of my favourite shows and made a huge impression on the time that my novel is set, I love the mystery and deep synthy vibes of this time period so listening to the tunes that fit make reading, and writing, Crimson Pines a whole different experience.
Now for my list!...
1. Go onto Soundcloud and search "stranger things". It will come up with tonnes of different remixes of the main theme and they're super cool!
2. Stranger Things Vol 1 (A Netflix Original Soundtrack) - this can be found on Apple Music
3. Kavinsky, Nightcall - Such a cool song and I also reccommend listening to some of the remixes for this song as well. - Also can be found on Apple Music
4. The Gone Girl soundtrack is so mysterious and I always listen to this set list when writing a super mysterious part of my novel - again, Apple Music is my go to
5. Pretty much anything 80s is great too!
The whole point of listening to music while reading is to add another layer. Whether I'm reading or writing, I always have music playing, relevant to the genre and time period of the story. It also helps me block out background noise and focus. Hope this was helpful. Next chapter will be out soon.
