Ava’s POV:

As Chloe and I hung out more, the more we got closer. She told me about with how the whole bulling got started, and all that. We even somehow started to talk about guys, and our crushes. I told her about everything with how Jake and I were best friends since I could remember, and with how we’ve always had each other’s backs, and all that. She kept saying with how we should get together and stay together. When she told me her crush I was shocked, and happy at the same time… if that’s possible.

“You like who???” I squealed, or maybe even yelled, but in a good way.

Chloe sighed,” I said, ‘that I liked your brother, Tyler.’ Is it that hard to understand?”

I swear this girl is full of surprises. First, she looks like a friggin’ super model when she wants to. Two, she likes my friggin’ brother. I could honestly picture them together. Well… I guess that I know my new mission, to get Chloe and Tyler together.

“Hey, Ava. It’s almost time for seventh period. You wanna leave now?” Chloe asked, a hint of disappointment in her voice. But her eyes said a different story. She was completely nervous, worried, and most definitely terrified. Is this girl seriously going to quit on me now? I don’t think so!

“Hey, don’t be nervous. We’re going to win this battle. No matter what, okay? Now, let’s get our bags, and head to class.” I said, with a reassuring smile on my face.

She gave a nod, and we were off. We walked down the stairs and through the lobby stealth like so we don’t get caught for skipping school. Well, we aren’t really skipping school since we’re going to class now. I wonder what Tyler face will look like when he sees Chloe. Chloe the nerd, to Chloe the super hot chick.

When we finally reached the building, the bell rung for seventh period, soon enough students started to spill out of their classes. I turned towards Chloe who had a horrified look on her face. I knew we were thinking the same thing: Hind. We darted to the nearest ladies restroom. Once we were in, we ran to our own stalls, and locked the doors, and waited.

Once I was sure no one was in the halls, I walked out of my stall, and stood in front of Chloe’s, and lightly banged on it.

“Chloe, it’s safe to come out now, c’mon. We gotta get to class.” I said in a soft voice, just in case. In response, I heard the stall unlock.

She walked out, and brushed her hair down with her fingers. I could see all sorts of things in her eyes. Hope. Fear. Revenge. And something else that I couldn’t place. Love?

“Ready to go. Let’s go see those faces. I want to get this over with.” She said, with a devious smirk. We linked arms and walked out of the bathroom. We walked straight to the history classroom. We were both hesitating. That, I don’t know why, but we just were.   I walked up to the door, and yanked it opened.

The stared at me in unbelief, I walked to my usually seat: next to Jake. It’s always been like this. Next, came in Chloe. Everyone had their mouths dropping to the floor. I looked in Tyler’s direction, and I was completely shocked. He was just sitting there, staring like he just saw a friggin’ angel. She made her way to sit in front of me. She looked over her shoulder and threw me a looked that I knew a little too well.

A victorious smirk.  That, my friends, is the new Chloe Summers!

Tyler’s POV:

‘Where the hell is Ava?’ I thought to myself. She hasn’t been at school at all to day. We were now in seventh period, History. With Ms. Miller. She’s nice and all, and funny. She makes you put gum on your nose if you get caught with it. I’ve done it before, and it burns.

We were all listening to Ms. Miller go on, and on about the Civil War, which had the least of my attention. I sat right in front of Jake. Whenever Jake, Ava, and I had a class together, we would be in the back. Jake would sit in the last back sit, if you understand what I mean. I would sit in front of him, and then Ava would sit next to Jake. Both of us guys might have been old then Ava, me by a year, and Jake by a month. But, she was our leader, the one that lead us to having such reputation. Here, the school knew who Jake and I were, but, they didn’t know Ava.

Ms. Miller stopped talking immediately, when the door was opened suddenly… Ava walked in. She held a smirk on her face.

‘What is she planning?’ I thought to myself.  Then, another figure walked into the classroom. I looked in that direction, I swear that my jaw dropped all the way to the core of the earth. I couldn’t take my eyes off her. She looked the entire class into the eye. She brought a confident smirk to her, and walked confidently to her seat in front of Ava. Right beside me.

I don’t know why, but I honestly couldn’t take my eyes off her. Yeah, she was hot, but it was also something else. Something about her caught my attention. I felt something hit my shoulder. A note?

‘C’mon, you like her, just admit it. You, Tyler James actually like someone. And don’t ask ‘how I know?’ Because, I know you, you like her. Don’t try lying! –Ava’

I twisted in my sit, and mouthed, ‘Maybe.’ While shrugging my shoulders. I turned back to face the front of the classroom, but that didn’t last long. This girl had all of my attention. I have never been this interested in a girl like this before. What was wrong with me? I don’t know how much time had passed ‘til class was. I heard the bell ring, but I just couldn’t get up. Next thing I know, Jake is pulling me saying, “C’mon lover boy, don’t worry. You and I both know that Ava has a plan in mind!”

I looked up the hallway, just to see what he meant. Ava and the mystery girl were walking down the hall, arms linked. Let’s just hope that Ava has a plan that involves me and that mystery girl.

‘Let’s just hope.’ I told myself, being dragged by Jake.
