We get to our new house, I'm struck in awe at its size and the men help unload our belongings. I break from my trance and grab one of the smaller boxes as my mother unlocks the door.
"May I look around, ma?" I ask and look at her smiling.
"Yes of course your room is the one all the way to the left." She says and I nod going around the whole house amazed in its beautiful architecture. I soon get to my room and remove my beanie looking at my barren room. "Wow this place is huge. It's like a mansion. Mom must've got a huge deal on it." I say to myself and open the closet door seeing it's a walk in as I grin.
"Romy! Come down here and get your boxes!" My mother calls and I drop my beanie and go downstairs grabbing a few small boxes of mine and taking them upstairs and repeat until I get the small things upstairs. The men soon bring up my bed and dresser as they put it together.
"Thank you guys." I say and start unpacking until my mom calls my name again. I groan and walk downstairs to her.
"Yes mom?" I ask as she points to the door.
"Open the door, we have some guests." She says smiling as I open the door.
"Hello! My name is Amanda and I live right next door!" She says with a bright smile as she has something in her hands.
"I'm Romy and my mother is busy around the house right now but come on in." I smile and respond moving out of the way for them to come in. A tall boy stands beside her crossing his arms. He has a few tattoos that he was hiding from his mother and a cold ice stare. He had brown hair and brown eyes that were filled with anger. I look away from him and at the lady.
"It's really cold I don't want you to freeze." I smile as she laughs.
"Yes it gets very cold here. I brought you a gift." She smiles at my saying and gives me a cake.
"Thank you so much!" I say and hug her softly feeling her cold hands.
"Roomy who is it?" My mom calls.
"Some neighbors come meet them!" I call back and she walks downstairs holding her hand out to shake the ladies hand.
"Nice to meet you I'm Sofia and you met my daughter I presume?" She asks with a bright smile and the women nods.
"This is my son Jared. He's a little mad that his friend left from this house but I think he'll make good friends with your daughter." She says kindly. I walk upstairs to go put the cake away and take off my jacket and gloves. The lady and her son leave giving me time to finish my bedroom.
After I finish I smile looking at the room completely. I go downstairs to my mom and help her start to unpack.
