Chapter 4

I call to my mom "IM HOME!"
She calls back. "Alright!"
I sigh and go to my room pulling out my laptop. I search up some of my homework questions I don't understand. I hear something hit my window and sigh moving my blinds seeing the neighbor boy, Jared. I ope the window and sigh, "Can I help you?"
He smiles and leans out his window.
"Yeah, can I copy the math homework we got today?" He asks and I laugh.
"Yeah, right. I'm not getting in trouble yet." I say as he smirks still.
"Please? You'd really help a neighbor out! I'll do something for you!" He says and I shake my head.
"Fine if I can't have it then you have to hang out with us for a week. It'll be fun!" He says and bites his lip.
"Fine, we can hang out. Can I go now?" I say and he nods. I close my window and my blinds. I go to my computer and start my paper. Later I finish for the night and my mom calls me for dinner. We sit at the table eating, it's very awkward until she says something.
"How was school hun?"
"It was fine, how was work?" I ask and look down at my food.
"It was fine. Listen honey, I know stuff is different with out your dad. But we are going to make this work I promise." She says and I sigh.
"Can we not talk about it?" I say and stand up wiping my face.
"I've got homework to finish." I say and leave going to my room and taking off all of my makeup. I put on some PJ's and work on my paper again. Soon I check the time seeing it's 11 p.m. I put my hair up and lay down trying to sleep. The next morning I wake up to the neighbor boy shaking me at 3 a.m. I groan and look up at him as he covers my mouth.
"Shh! Don't wake your mom!" He says and I move his hand sitting up.
"What the fuck are you doing in my house and how the fuck did you get in?" I ask glaring as my hair is very messy and I'm not wearing makeup. He smirks and says, "You leave your window unlocked and you agreed to hanging out with me so, you have to get up."
I sigh and stand up looking down at him sitting on my bed.
"Do I have time to get ready?" I ask and he nods.
"I'll just wait here. Go shower you stink!" He says and laughs as I flip him the finger and leave to shower. I finish showering and go to my room only in a towel.
"Turn around I need to get dressed." I say and he turns his head as I drop my towel putting on panties and a bra then a Nirvana tee, ripped jeans and boots.
"You can look now." I say and start doing a smokey eye and mascara. After 30 minutes I finally finish and stand in front of him again.
"Done? Damn you take less time then Zoey and look better." He says and smiles as I push him in the shoulder. He laughs and I text my mom telling her I left with a friend. We get outside and get in his car. Caleb and Dallas are already in there playing on their phones. I get in the back as we start driving somewhere that I don't know because they refuse to tell me where we're going.
