AN: If i misspelled anything please tell! Or if I did any mistakes!

Jace scares me by his last question.

"Did anyone help you?"

Andrew looks at me raising an eyebrow saying you promised that you wouldn't lie. I nod sucking in a breath of air.

"Yea. But more like a group helps me out."

Who?" Blake asks.

While at the same time Jace says.

"I want to give them my thanks."

I try to say it as slowly as I can because I've heard of the "dream boys" being in a gang. And this could set them off. But first I want to make sure the rumors are true.

"Are you guys in a gang? And remember no lying."

They all look at each other and Jace shrugs.

"Yea we are." He says casually.

Blake and Andrew look at him furious and he shrugs.

"She was bond to know anyways. But now you have to answer our question Courtney. Who helps you?"

Your gonna regret this. My brain sings. I know brain, I know. I take a deep breath before letting out the truth.

"You guys know the gang The Outsiders?"

They all nod and Andrew is slowly getting what I'm saying but he wants me to finish talking before drawing a conclusion.

"Well they are the ones that help me..."

Then like a storm out of nowhere they explode.

"What?!"

"Do you know how dangerous they are?!"

"Your kidding right?!"

Jace clarifies.

"So the gang that is our rival helps you... But why?!"

I answer.

"It was cause I was small. A small stupid fragile girl. David, the leader, which I bet you guys know," they nod, "he told me to act homeless, even giving me the clothes to act the part. He said that people would give money to a homeless little girl and not a homeless man, and I agreed. He said that if I helped him then he will give me a home and a family. So everyday after school I would run to the alley where we all lived and change into my clothes. Going to the sidewalk that I know a lot of wealthy people would walk on and sit there. And each one day I would make at least $150.

"I would come back giving them money to David and he would use it in clothes, food, and supplies. I was the only kid there so they treated me like a sister."

They're all standing up and Blake asks.

"Is that the only thing that you do that contributes to the gang? You don't do anything else.....?"

"Yup, that's the only thing that I do until now."

They all give peculiar looks.

"What does that mean..." Andrew says trailing off.

I take a deep breath. No going back now my brain sings. I glare up at my head and continue.

"I pick pocket, steal and break into places, legitly anything that involves stealing."

They all sigh, in relief...? I give them a peculiar look and they look at each other nervously.

"We thought you did other stuff..." Jace replies to my look, trailing off.

I rolled my eyes.

"Boys."

The warning bell rings and I get up by the help of Andrew. When we all exit the restroom everyone is gawking at us. Some girls faces show disbelief, hatred, but only a few smiled at me. Smiled! Out of all the other emotions that they could have shown me they smiled! I give those girls a weird look and walk to my locker, the "dream boys" on my heels. Once I put everything I didn't need in my locker, the boys are still next to me, leaning against nearby lockers.

"Why are you guys with me? I will ruin your reputation."

Blake scoffs.

"We don't care that it'll ruin us."

"And we're here with you because we wove you."

Jace adds in a sweetly girly voice.

I roll my eyes, closing my locker.

"What's your next period?" I ask.

"Science." Andrew replies while Blake and Jace say.

"Math."

"PE."

I look at Jace and ask again.

"What's your next period?"

"PE. Is Courtney deaf and blind?" He asks in a playful voice.

I stiffen.

"How'd you know?"

"Know what?" Jace asks innocently.

"You know what." I reply gritting my teeth.

"Know that you have terrible terrible vision and to try to not show the part of being a nerd you dont wear glasses and instead wear contacts? That know?"

I unclench my jaw.

"Yes," I say in a low voice, "that know."

The final bell rings and Andrew whispers loudly for all three of us to hear.

"Jace, buddy, I would start running right now if I were you. It looks like she's going to kill you."

Jace rolls his eyes and sticks his tongue out.

"She can't catch me cause I'm the gingerbread man!"

I roll up my sleeves and do a white girl pose, pretending to look at my nails.

"I'm going to give you three seconds."

I see sweat go down Jace's temple and he looks at his friends nervously.

"I don't see what the problem is of me knowing that you have terrible and I mean terrible eyesight."

I review his words and scowl at myself. Why did you get angry all of a sudden? Cause brain no one has figured me out that quickly. Much less in 25 minutes. I walk to the gym and Jace follows me.

"Your not mad are you..." Jace asks nervously.

I sigh.

"No I'm not. Sorry for overreacting."

He slings his arm around me and says.

"Its okay Court."

We both separate to our changing rooms and when I enter the girls locker room it hits me. Strong perfume scents of different kinds slap me across the face. I quickly change and exit the locker room. When I entered the basketball courts everyone was shooting hoops, talking to their friends, dribbling the ball, or playing one in one. I grab a basketball, dripping and shooting the ball.

Nothing else can go wrong, right?
