All of them. Every single second he had ever spent with Josh, all in his head. From the moment he first started talking to him on a dating site, to the moments before...before...

Before he...left...

What happened was Josh was standing in front of Tyler and hugging him, out in the streets on a sidewalk. He had to leave soon so he wanted to say goodbye to Tyler, and confess something he'd been wanting to tell him forever. Josh leaned back from the hug and reached for Tyler's hands, holding them there at their hip level. Tyler looked up at Josh, his height almost intimidating. Josh looked back at him with adoring eyes and a pleased grin. "Tyler, I've been wanting to get something off my chest for a while. You know how we've been dating for so long, right?" Josh began.

Tyler nodded, worried that Josh was beginning to tell him very bad news. "Almost four years, yes...why?" He asked, very confused and on the brink of discouragement. Josh chuckled and caressed Tyler's cheek. "Baby boy, there's nothing to worry about." Josh comforted, flashing a wider smile. "You just sound so sad, like you're going to tell me something bad..." Tyler shakily worried. Josh placed his thumb on the Cupid's bow of Tyler's lips and laced the entire outline of them. "Well I'll hope this isn't bad. Now what I wanted to tell you was...I want to marry you." Josh replied, stagnant in his position, his eyes killing Tyler with every second of his staring. Tyler swore his heart stopped completely. "Really? Of course Josh I'd love to!" Tyler answered excitedly. Josh giggled. "Are you sure? We don't have to we can wait some more." Josh stated. Tyler started jumping up and down in his frenzy of excitement. "Screw waiting, oh my god this is great! I really wanna marry you Josh!" Tyler exclaimed. He jumped on Josh and started laughing. Josh held him by his thighs while Tyler had his arms around his shoulders.

"Baby I'm so excited!" Josh said, joining in on his excitement. Tyler kissed Josh in numerous places on his face. "Me too!" He replied, giggling so happily. Josh reached into his back pocket while Tyler clung on to him, now tearing and crying in his utter joy. When Josh had fumbled mindlessly enough at his back pocket, he slipped a square box covered in red velvet material out of it and showed it to Tyler. "And here's your ring, my king." Josh said, holding it there in front of Tyler for him to grab. There was a moment of pause. Tyler stared at the box in Josh's fingertips and smiled. He looked at Josh and Josh nodded. "Forever?" Tyler asked, uttering the only word he could muster. Josh nodded again. "Forever." He replied, and with that, Tyler lightly touched the box and took it. He opened it to see a extravagant silver ring with diamonds of elegant shine. "Josh, this ring is so beautiful, I...I'm speechless!" Tyler enthused. "Thank you!"

Josh wanted to say something back, but as soon as he opened his mouth to speak, his breath hitched. A loud sound echoed through out the entire boulevard. Tyler felt Josh's heartbeat and how it was speeding fast. Josh lost balance and fell onto the pavement of the sidewalk, taking Tyler down with him. Tyler managed to slide in front of him to where he was holding on in front of him and not hooked on his hip. He took the blow of the fall for Josh, but he missed another aspect. The wound.

Tyler crunched himself upwards to where he sat instead of laid on the cement, Josh's body limp in his lap. "Josh?" Tyler questioned. He looked in front of him and saw a person in ragged urban clothing, aiming a gun at the empty space where Josh was standing before. The person soon lowered his gun but still kept it aimed, this time towards Tyler. Tyler could see the person approaching him casually. He looked down at Josh and saw a hole ripped through his shirt, and gunshot wound right where his pale skin was supposed to be the only thing showing. The wound was oozing blood very quickly, and Josh's spine was exposed under the leaking blood. "JOSH!" Tyler yelled, as if he were trying to get Josh's attention despite the fact he was no longer lively. The person approached Tyler even faster from the distance they were once at. Tyler quickly turned Josh over in his lap to where Josh was facing him. "Josh, please don't die on me, please!" Tyler pleaded. Josh tried to gasp for breath and with shaking hands tried to push himself up. "No no Josh don't get up honey you'll hurt yourself just breathe." Tyler tried to say comfortingly, panicking and crying. The person had finally reached Tyler in their footsteps, and without a word pulled the trigger, his target being Josh's stomach. Tyler jumped, startled and panicked. He looked up at the person with tears running down his face and his face already red and puffy. "Why? WHY?" He asked, then yelled.

The person spoke in an angered tone. "All gays must die."

Tyler was personally offended. Anger flushed through his chest and his heart beat faster. The person raised the gun and aimed it towards the bridge between Tyler's eyes. Tyler paused. He looked in to the barrel of the gun furiously. "Do it." Tyler commanded through gritted teeth. The person seemed more than happy to do so, but seconds before they could, they were tackled by blue suited men. One of those blue suited men ran to Tyler and Josh and knelt down beside them. "Hey there, are you okay?" For a minute, Tyler didn't answer. He just stared at the same space the gun held by the person was and grit his teeth. "Can you tell me your name?" Tyler kept staring. His hands were covered in the blood of his fiancé. His king. "Tyler Robert Joseph. The one in my lap, Joshua William Dun." Tyler answered. The blue suited man scribbled Tyler's exact words on a note pad. Tyler just kept staring, feeling the blood of his lover spill onto him and soak into his skin and clothes. "He has a gunshot wound by a bullet from a tactical pistol in both his spine and stomach." Tyler added, without question. "We need an ambulance...NOW." Tyler then yelled, very furiously. Josh groaned in pain, breathing heavily. Tyler jumped and looked down at Josh, shushing him and stroking his face and hair. "It's gonna be okay Josh breathe...calm..." Tyler comforted, panicking and trembling himself. Josh did as he was advised and breathed calmly. Soon after the blue suited man assured them of help, an ambulance pulled up near the curb and lifted Josh onto a gurney. Tyler watched as they rolled him into the ambulance and then caught up with them in the vehicle. The medical technicians and aides forebode him entrance and it took Tyler some insisting before he was too exasperated to try. The vehicle drove away and he looked back at the same spot he once sat in. A stain of blood was visible, which reminded Tyler that now the same spot that stain resided was where his best and worst memory resided.

The spot where Josh proposed to him...

And the spot where Josh got shot...
