Chapter 1: A Normal Day

Lucy POV🔑

I sat up in my bed, my eyes barely open. Stretching my arms out and yawning, I slowly got out of my bed. I moved sluggishly still in my pajamas went to the bathroom to change my clothes and get ready to go to the guild.

"Good morning!" said a familiar voice.

"Good morning," I said back automatically, my voice still haunted by sleep. 'Wait where did that voice just come from??'

My eyes shot open, as I ran through my apartment. After running through all of the rooms in my apartment, I finally found who I was looking for at my kitchen table "Wait N-Natsu! What the hell are you doing in my apartment!" My face turned cherry red as I stared wide-eyed at Natsu. He had snuck into my apartment again. He was sitting casually in the wooden chair at the dinning table in my living room.

"How long have you been sitting there, and where's Happy?" I asked, not really wanting to know the answer.

He reached his arms over his head and looked away. His cheeks turned a light pink "Just a little bit," His blush deepened, "I just wanted to know if you wanted to walk to the guild with me, Happy is already there. "

Natsu was so cute when he was embarrassed. Ever since the whole Phantom Lord fiasco, he had been so brave. I know he was fighting for the guild, but it almost felt like he was fighting for me and that I was the most important girl in the world.

I blushed just thinking about it.

"Sure thing Natsu," I said trying and failing to act casual, "I'll just get dressed really quick."

I changed as quickly as I could into my blue and white tank top and blue mini skirt. My keys at my hip I trotted back out and saw Natsu now standing in my kitchen. His spiky pink hair wild, his onyx eyes sparkling, and his grin as wide as it could be. Damn he was hot.

"Let's go!" He said.

Then we walked side by side to the guild.

Natsu POV🔥

We were walking to the guild, past all of the different shops and restaurants, Lucy stopped in front of a small cafe. Her eyes lit up and her smile widened. I loved her smile. When she smiled it felt like the whole world went in slow motion.

"Do you want to get some breakfast?" She asked.

I grinned, "Of course!"

We walked inside the small cafe. Lucy ordered a cappuccino and a croissant, and I ordered ham sandwich and a large coffee. As we ate our food, I looked at her and took in everything about her; her deep chocolate eyes, her blonde hair, and her perfect features. Still Natsu's POV🔥

Inside the guild me and Luce were surrounded by the rest of Team Natsu. Erza was still scary, Gray was shirtless as usual, Happy was eating a fish, Wendy and Carla were talking excitedly to one other, and Lucy was still looking beautiful.

"Hey guys let's take a job!" I said enthusiastically.

"Alright!" Lucy cried, "Bring on the rent money!"

"I'm sorry guys, me and Carla are going to get some lunch. Catch up with you guys later?"

"Yeah sure thing Wendy, where are you two going for lunch?" Lucy asked.

"I don't know, somewhere in town maybe."

We waved goodbye to them as they hurried out the guild as we made our way over to the job request board.

"Wonder what's up with them?" Gray said throwing a backward glance at the door.

"Usually she would drop everything to do a job with us..." Erza started as she thought to herself.

Lucy looked up at the door again and spotted someone else leaving. She gasped with a smile and lowered her voice to a whisper. "Guys, look who else is leaving."

"Oh my Mavis, it's Romeo!" Happy screeched covering his bursting mouth with his small blue paws. "I've gotta tell Mira!" He started zooming towards the bar to where Mira was working.

"Not so fast little buddy! She will probably stalk them, let's let them have they're fun. If I know anything about Mira then I know that she'll find out all on her own." I said grabbed his tail stopping him in his tracks.

"Yeah that sounds exactly like her." Lucy giggled.

"Whatever, we'll ask her about it later," Gray sighed. "Let's worry about getting a job right now."

"Hey Luce, why don't you pick this one?" I said with a smile gesturing to the board.

"Hmmm..." Lucy looked at the board for a couple seconds. "What about this one?" She asked tearing a job request of the board. Her smile seemed to light up the room. We all crowded around the paper.

"All we have to do is kill some monsters in a cave and get 2 million jewel!" Gray shouted.

"Good pick." Erza said looking impassive.

"Let's go!" I yelled pumping my fists in the air.

"Now?" Luce said surprised.

"Why not?" I said back, "Besides, if we're going to walk 1000 miles we better get a move on." My unsuccessful excuse to avoid the train.

"Shut up Natsu," said Gray "We're taking the train."

"Watch your mouth snowman!" I muttered.

"What did you you call me flame brain?" Gray said glaring at me.

"Enough!" Erza yelled stopping the fight before it could get out of control.

Lucy laughed nervously.

"Aye!" Me and Gray said in unison, doing our best Happy impression.

"Ok guys let's go," Luce said trying to avoid getting the whole guild involved in another one of our fights like last time.

We all headed to the train station, me and Gray still glaring at each other.
