That's My Girl

Dinah's POV
As soon as the bell rang I grabbed my things and went down the hall behind the staircase. This is where I was supposed to meet Lauren. Honestly I am very anxious. Lauren didn't sound so happy when she asked if we could talk. I didn't want to lose her although it seemed like I did. I loved her, I knew that for a fact now.
Lauren's POV
I made sure no one followed me as I made my way behind the staircase. When I saw Dinah I started speed walking until we stood a few inches away from each other. I connected our lips in a passionate kiss.
"Hey" I said a bit out of breathe.
"Um... Hi? Lauren-"
I cut her off.
"I missed you that's all." I said smiling.
I grabbed her hands and looked into her chocolate brown eyes.
"Dinah there's a few things I need to ask, say, do...." She nodded her head for me to continue. I pecked her lips before speaking again.
"I think I'm in love with  you. No I know I am." After a moment I bit my lip and just let it out.
"I was wondering if you'd be my girlfriend??" I said now looking down at the floor. She lifted my chin and crashed out lips together... For the second time.
"Lauren, I wouldn't be happier with anyone else." She said smiling.
"Oh also." I said before grabbing a small box from my jacket pocket.
I got down on one knee and pulled out the box.
"Dinah Jane Milika Llaisaane Hansen Amasio, would you do me the honor and go to prom with me?"
Dinah's POV
My eyes were literally filled with tears. My chest was also beating faster because I thought she was going to propose. I would've let her down because I'm not ready. We haven't dated yet. Even though we are now. Inside the box were two rings, one that said Lo and another that said DJ. I grabbed Lauren's hands and pulled her up. I grabbed the ring with 'DJ' on it and put it on her finger. She did the same with the other ring. She dropped the box and connected out lips again. I carried her and she wrapped her legs around my waist. Also making my back go against the wall.
"Excuse me! You two are supposed to be at lunch. I'll see you in detention tomorrow." Lauren quickly got down and we both turned to the voice.
Ashley stood there with a big smile on her face.

"Fuck you, you actually made me think it was a teacher." Lauren said grabbing my hand.

"Nah, but Brittney isn't going to like this." Ashley said shaking her head.
"I don't care what Brittney likes." Lauren said.

Which was true. Brittney had been trying to get with Lauren since day one but I didn't think it was important considering I technically already had her.

"Lauren she likes you. You can't tell me you don't care about yourself." Ashley said with her hands on her hips.
"I care about myself. That's why I am not with her. Bye Ashley." Lauren said before we walked down the hall.
"Lauren I have too pee, I'll catch up." I said letting go of her hand.
"Okay babe." She said winking and walking into the cafeteria.
Lunch
Lauren's POV
"So Lauren I heard you moved on from us?" Brittney asked sitting next to me.
"There wasn't ever any us." I said gesturing toward us.
"You'll learn Jauregui, you know you want me." She said before getting up and walking to her table.
"Lauren, I see you've got a girl??" One of the girls at my table asked, raising an eyebrow.just them Dinah opened the lunchroom door.
"Uh no, that's my girl." I said getting up and walking to Dinah. I went on my tippy toes a bit (to reach her height) before kissing her for a few seconds. I grabbed her hand and walked back to the table where everyone's mouth was wide open. I could tell that even Dinah was surprised. Camila wanted me to ask Dinah and yet she looked the most surprised from everyone.
"You guys might catch flies, close your mouths." I said while taking a seat. I looked over at Brittney who was furious and disgusted. But guess what? I didn't care, and you know why? Because I had all I needed right next to me.
