You sat up in the bed, rubbing your eyes lightly. Looking around, you noticed that it was still night. You should still be sleeping peacefully, right?

A human soul, huh?

Something felt like it was crawling up your back, causing you to tense.

All the LOVE you earned, the levels that have come and gone.

The voice sounded so familiar to you, a voice you hated. A voice you wanted dead. It was haunting you, tormenting you with thoughts you no longer remembered.

Growling, you look around, not seeing anyone around you. "Wherever you are, come out," you silently yelled, not wanting to alarm the skeletons sleeping.

Oh, you won't find me anymore. I'm inside of you now. You're very powerful. Stronger than that other human.

You were shaking, but you didn't feel scared. Something was trying to hurt you, take over you, from the inside.

You'll make an excellent host.

Screaming, you covered your ears, feeling a stabbing pain come over you. It was an agonizing feeling, but you still didn't know who or what was doing this to you. All you really knew was that a monster was inside of you, trying to take over your sanity.

Before the pain made you blackout, arms pulled you close to their hoodie. Sans' eye was glowing, illuminating the room. His grip was loose, yet sturdy. The pain disappeared.

Just wait, (Y/n)... you'll be mine.

Shaking, you hug the skeleton back, letting his presence calm you down. No one said anything. No one wanted to say anything.

Silence was the only thing the two of you needed as you both fell back asleep on the floor of the room.

Time Skip~

"So, are you gonna tell me why you screamed last night?" Sans persisted, leading you to the forest to meet Toriel and Frisk.

Shaking your head, you looked away, not wanting to concern him with your burden. "I'd rather keep it to myself for now."

He sighed, but didn't persist anymore as you saw the human and the goat. They waved at the two of you, causing you to wave back.

"Hello, Sans. Hello, (Y/n). How are the two of you?" Tori asked, letting the human run up to the skeleton.

You shrugged, smiling lightly. "We're okay. What about the two of you?"

Sans walked off, Frisk leading him away before running off, starting a game. The two chances each other around, sometimes with the skeleton using his magic to catch up.

"We are doing just fine."

You and Toriel sat on a log, watching the two play around. Neither of you really said anything, a small laugh or chuckle here or there.

Kill her.

You shut one eye, bringing a hand up to your head. The voice was back, causing the pain to return. Whimpering, you fold your ears back, covering them to try and stop the pain.

It didn't work.

"(Y/n), honey, are you alright? Sans!" you heard Toriel yell, but you couldn't focus on her.

Falling off of the log, you fell onto your knees, letting your upper half fall forward. Your left hand kept you up, while your other stayed on your head, moving to cover your right eye as it began to flare up.

The same arms that covered you to comfort you, they never touched you. Those arms that took the pain away at first no longer dared to touch you.

Looking up with your left eye, you saw Sans standing there, holding his hand out to Toriel to pull her behind him, where Frisk stared at you with utter fear. His left eye was flared and glowing, looking at you with worry, fear, and hate.

Look at that expression. He sees you as a threat. Kill them. All three of them, then move on to the others.

Shut up, skeleton! She's my host now! Do it, (Y/n)!

Removing your right hand from your eye, you stare up at the three cowering away from you. Growling lowly, you stood back up, letting your psychokinesis travel through your body, glowing like fire on your hand.

Spikes surrounded you, their tips aimed at the three.

As your hand began to point towards them, a force threw you back, a blue aura surrounding your body. Grunting as you hit the nearest tree, you glare at Sans, watching him teleport the other two away with him.

"Run, run, as fast as you can. You can't hide forever, for I am (Y/n)!" your voice yelled out, laughing maniacally, but you didn't make yourself say it.

Inside, your soul was slowly being covered by dark black vines of hate. You had lost the inside war of your body, but you couldn't lose the fight for your mind.

But you will. You might as well surrender to me. I'll be here until you reset it all. Still, you won't get rid of me that easily. I'll keep coming after you, timeline after timeline.

Faintly, you growl at the voice, but couldn't stop as she forced you to walk, laughing maniacally.

Sans' P.O.V.~

What the hell happened to her? She was fine. She was okay. She... had something wrong. (Y/n), why did you lie to me? Why would you do this?

Frisk and Toriel were sitting on the couch, watching me pace in front of them. "Sans?" Tori's voice brought me out of my thoughts, making me jump a bit. "Did something happen to her? She seemed fine when I first saw her."

Shakily, I stop my pacing, leaning on the wall. "I don't know, Tori. She hid something from me, something that scared her enough to make her scream. And her eyes..."

I'll never forget those red orbs with black surrounding the edges, the darkness inching its way closer to her pupil. The way they looked wounded one second, then angered the next.

Clenching my teeth and shutting my eyes, I balled my hands into fists and pushed them against my eye sockets. "Damn it! Why didn't you say anything?!" I collapsed to my knees, letting blue tears fall from my eyes.

Everything seemed to go still, my sobs seeming to echo around me. Looking up, I saw that Frisk and Toriel were frozen in time.

Sighing, I stood up, turning to my left. My dad was standing there, looking at me with concern.

"Dad," I say, pushing my hands into my pockets.

I growl, turning away from him. "She's going to die, then. The only way is to kill her, and make sure you never do that experiment on her or that human. But, I couldn't hurt her. I love her."

Gaster put his hand on my shoulder, making me freeze. ".dnatsrednu ll'ehS"

Shaking his hand off, I sat back on the ground, covering my eyes again. "You don't know her like I do, Gaster. She won't understand why I have to kill her."

Time sped back up as Gaster faded away, making the two come back to life. Frisk ran up to me, hugging me to get me to calm down. Patting her back, I keep her close, staring at the ground behind her.

I have to kill my soulmate. I have to kill (Y/n) and make her reset.

The question is: can I do it?
