Your P.O.V.~

My eyes shot open, looking around the area.  The killings.  Sans.  Everything that happened hit me like a speedy bullet as I sat up, looking everything over.

The white cell, the bars that separated me and my other half.  It was like a home I never really liked, but it was still mine.  Slowly, I stood up, walking to the front bars.  A tall shadow loomed over a figure, I guessed my friend, muttering to himself.

Gaster.  I knew him all too well.

"When can I see the human?  You said I'd get to see her yesterday, Sir!"

Wait.  I wasn't the human.  I was...

Finally, I looked at myself, seeing that I, in fact, was not the wolf I remembered being.  I was a human, like my soul.

Shaking, I sat back down, trying to comprehend what was going on.  That reset took me back to when I met (Y/n), way before I met Sans.  Sans might not remember me.

A fear took over as I thought of that, making me shut my eyes.

"Hey," the soft voice of (Y/n) greeted, making me open an eye to look at her.

Her (f/c) fur was matted in some places, (e/c) eyes matching my own.  She smiled her fangs at me, stretching her wings out as she sat on the floor across from me.

I waved shyly, still trying to comprehend everything.

She laughed, reaching a hand through the bars.  "I'm (Y/n), what's your name?"

"Well," I start, taking her hand in my own, letting the fur brush against my skin, "my name is (Y/n), too."

The wolf flapped her wings in excitement, wagging her tail lightly in response.  "We're going to be the best of friends, (Y/n).  I can feel it in my soul!"

Time Skip~

"What's going on, Gaster?" I asked, holding onto the wolf's hand as the skeleton tried taking her out of the cell. For only knowing her about two weeks, we were attached. I couldn't let her go.

He only grabbed my wrist to pull it away.  ".setunim wef a ni uoy rof kcab eb ll'I"

He walked away, leaving me alone.

Sighing, I waited, feeling a panic go through me.  What if he did the same experiment?  Chara would possess me again, and I'd try to kill Sans and the others.  I couldn't deal with that again.

Soon, Gaster came back, leading me to the same room.  He helped me onto the table, putting a needle into my arm.

He looked into my eyes, seeing my worry. ".niaga ekatsim emas eht gnikam ton m'I"

A relief went over me when I heard that hearing that, but I was still terrified. Last time, one of us didn't make it. I didn't make it, but my soul did. What happens if something else goes wrong?

Before I could panic, I shut my eyes, falling asleep next to the wolf.

Time Skip~

I woke up slowly, pain enveloping my body. Whatever happened after I fell asleep must've changed something.

".pu tis t'noD  .gnilaeh llits er'uoY"

I felt my breathing was a bit hitched, but didn't feel scared like I normally did.  Opening one eye, I saw Gaster standing there, using his magic to heal me.

Minutes went by before I was allowed to sit up.  When I did, I gasped, looking at my hands.  They were still that of a human.  Looking over my shoulder, I saw I had wings, long and feathered like the she-wolf's.  I also had a tail, the same color as my hair.

"Where's (Y/n)?  Is she still alive?" I ask, looking into the sockets of the skeleton.

He only pointed to my chest, making me feel a calming buzz.  She was still here, just inside of me.  The experiment was really different, but I was now half human, half monster.  And it showed, through my soul and my appearance.

Doing as the scientist asked, I got to my feet, following him slowly as he led me down to a dark room.  He flicked the lights on, making me inhale sharply.

The capsule stood there, making me freeze.  Shaking it off, I knew why I needed to do this.  For Sans.

Gaster opened it, allowing me to step inside.  Doing so, I turn to face him, shutting my eyes and awaiting the dizziness and drowsiness.

And I blacked out.

But I wasn't scared.  I wanted to see Sans again.  I needed to see him again.  Deep inside, I knew I would if I did this, and I accepted that.

'I love you,' I thought, finally letting all of my thoughts go.

Many Years Later~
Sans' P.O.V.~

Sitting up in my bed, I yawned, looking around the room.  Today, I turned ten, so I got to sleep in as late as I wanted to.  Still, I woke up early today for one reason.

(Y/n).

Dad said I was allowed to meet her today, or, at least, get her out of the capsule she's in.

Quickly, I got my smaller hoodie on, rushing down to the kitchen.  Gaster was washing his hands as I tugged his coat to get his attention.  When he looked down, he smiled, nodding.

Laughing, I quickly rush to the door, throwing it open and heading for the shed, my eye glowing madly.

He was close behind me, but I was running for once in my life, already knowing where she was.  Stopping at the door to the room, I waited for my dad to catch up, giggling with anticipation.  Once he did, he opened the door, letting me walk up to the capsule.

There she was, but different.  She looked human, but still had the ears, tail, and wings of the wolf I had once laid eyes on in the last timeline.  Still, I knew who she was:

She was my soulmate.

I heard Gaster pressing a few buttons, letting the door slide open.  Using my magic, I slowly brought her out of the cylinder, letting her rest in my arms.

Sitting down, I made sure my arms were secure around her, resting my forehead on her own.  She was shaking, freezing from, what my dad called, hyper-sleep.

My eye glowed, a small flame coming off of it.  Suddenly, I was surrounded by an aura, making me look at my dad, seeing him smile at me before placing us on the nearest bed.  He always had beds down here for her and the other half.

I pulled a blanket around the two of us, trying to warm her up.  She shifted, burying her head in my hoodie, gripping it in her hands.  Smiling, I shut my eyes, letting myself fall asleep once more.

"I love you," I muttered, feeling her shaking slow down.

We were only ten, but everything was still there.  The feelings we both had still affected me, and I knew they'd always be there.

I can't wait be yours again.
