I didn't leave that sitting room until Kevin came to find me, shell shocked from what Darren had done minutes before. The scene seemed to replay in my head over and over. I swallowed and my throat felt like sandpaper.

Kevin walked over to where I was, still curled over on the couch and stopped. "What are you doing?" He asked.

I looked up at him guiltily. I didn't want him to know that Darren had kissed me. "Nothing." I sounded like a sulky six year old. I sat up, feeling groggy and looked down at my lap, smoothing my grey skirt out over my knees.

"Are you okay?" He asked, shoving his hands deep into a pair of black skinny jeans.

I shook my head and looked over at my wrist watch. "No, it's eight pm. I'm usually in my pajamas and studying right now."

Kevin nodded. "Come on." He lead me back upstairs and to a bathroom that was only a few doors down from his bedroom. He opened the door and flicked the light on, I stared up at him. "There are clothes in here for you to wear, feel free to take a shower while the study room is prepared. If you aren't out in an hour, I'm coming in to take you, regardless of what you'r doing."

I blushed at what he had said, watching his green eyes twinkle mischieviously and stepped into the bathroom, closing the door quickly behind me. The large, luxurious bathroom was a clean white and like the rest of the house, it was decorated with that similar blue. I was actually getting sick of that powdery blue shade. I didn't think it was possible to fill a house this large with so much stuff in the same colour.

I turned my attention to the large shower, the large glass panels separated it from the rest of the room. The heat lamp above it looked enticing, I quickly slipped out of my dirty school uniform and into the warmth of the water as it steamed out of the faucet. I quickly fogged up the doors, turning my face towards the water, washing away all the negativity from earlier today.

I pulled the make-shift bandage off of my wrist and placed it neatly on the ground of the shower to throw out after I got out of the shower. The cut that I'd sustained wasn't nearly as bad as it had looked earlier as the dried blood rinsed away.

That rose coloured jewel glimmered in the light as I stared at it. I reached up and touched the identical blue one at my throat. I closed my eyes and rinsed my hair under the steady stream of water, I couldn't even remember how long it had been since I had a shower this amazing. Usually we took baths at home so we could boil water on the stove and add it to cold water already in the tub.

I grabbed the only bottle of shampoo off of a small shelf built into the shower's structure and attempted to read the label. It was some kind of expensive French brand and I was always terrible in French Classes.

Regardless, I still squirted a palm-full and lathered it in my hair. The clear soap quickly turned into a thick, white foam that smelled heavenly. After much sniffing, I decided that it smelt like vanilla and clove. I rinsed the soap from my hair, watching the suds gather at the drain. I quickly finished in the shower by soaping myself up and rinsing it all off with a bar of soap that smelled similar. Everything that was provided in the shower looked brand new. When I finally stepped out of that clear glass box I felt amazing.

Grabbing a turquoise towel off of the nearby rack, I toweled off myself and my hair and moved towards the counters where three piles of turquoise pajamas sat. There was a night gown, a short sleeved shirt with shorts set and a long sleeved set. I grabbed the button-down long sleeved set and slipped them on, going back to the shower quickly to throw away my garbage.

I threw away the bandage, gathered my dirty school clothes and reached out for the door. I was startled when the door swung open and I was face to face with Kevin as promised.
