Mick had taken a break from the criminal life. After seeing how happy Snart was, he realized that he had some decisions to make about his life. He just didn't know how to go about tackling them. One night he listened in on a police scanner and heard that there was an armored car being taken over by the Golden Glider. Mick smiled. Lisa was at it again. If there was anyone that he could convince to join his way of thinking, it was her. He hopped on his motorbike and headed for the location where this armored car was. He planned on being there well before the cops.
As soon as he reached the location, he saw Lisa pull out her gold gun and point it at the men watching the money. For a split second, he wanted to join her, but what he was really after was following her to her lair. Right after the men handed over a few bags of money, she knocked them both out and fled from the scene. Mick followed her to a very old and small warehouse well outside of town. When he went inside, she was already half undressed, obviously changing her clothes. Although, quiet as he was, she still sensed his presence and pulled her gold gun out and pointed it right at him. Then she realized who it was that had followed her.
"Mick, what the hell? I could have killed you." She picked up her shirt after she lowered her gun and put it back on.
"Hello to you too, Lisa."
"What are you doing here?" Lisa asked. "I thought you and Len were on some kind of crusade to save the world."
"Oh, we were. We're finished. Our mission was completed. Now I'm back with a full agenda."
"And what is this agenda, may I ask?"
"I was thinking of turning our lives around..." Mick said and then he trailed off into silence. He was stupid. She wasn't going to go for it. What was he thinking?
Lisa laughed. "You can't be serious. Mick Rory? Wanting to change his life around? Next thing I know, you'll be telling me that you up and married someone."
"Don't be stupid, Lisa. I would never lower myself that much. I don't have the time or the stamina for a wife or a family. I just wanted you to know that I think that if Leonard can find it in him to change, so can you. And I don't want to go in this alone."
"What were you planning, Mick? Did you think that I would want to join your group and be a good guy? Come on. We both know that you and I would be better off as criminals. It's in our nature."
"But you never know that we may have what it takes to be even better good guys. Have you ever thought about that at least once?" Mick asked. Lisa shook her head. "Look, I have been on a ship with other people and Snart to see how much he has changed. He's married, Lisa. He married a girl that was on the ship with us. And she's not the kind of person you would find at a bakery shop. No. This woman is former League of Assassins, and Snart took to her almost instantly. And because of her, he changed. He started to become a man who was willing to sacrifice himself for others. He even sacrificed our friendship for their safety at one point. But when I went back, things happened and I turned myself around. I started to see the importance of teamwork and the knowledge that sometimes you can't go in it alone. And that is why I am here."
"What was her name? The woman that Len married."
"Her name is Sara. And she is one damn tough girl, believe me."
"I don't know Mick. It seems intriguing, but what good will it do? This city knows me as a ruthless criminal. How can me wanting to be a good guy now, solve anything?"
"If we do it together, the news will spread like wildfire. And you know how much I love fire."
"Hmmm, yes I do. All too well, I might add," Lisa remarked.
"So, will you do it?"
"Well, I'm all for new challenges. Sure, let's do it."
"Good. Let's start by giving this money back."
Lisa sighed. "Mick, I worked hard to get this," she complained.
"A new challenge, Lisa. Get used to it. From now on, we'll be fighting off people like who we used to be. This city needs people to keep it safe. It's our responsibility now."
"We'll, what about The Flash and his team?"
"He can't do it all on his own. He may be fast, but I'm sure there are still things and situations that he just cannot get to because he's too busy with other things that are vital to everyone's safety. We're just here to pick up the pieces that he just can't get to."
"Alright, alright. What shall we call ourselves then? When we leave criminals for the police to find and they ask who tied them up, what do those criminals call us?"
"I was thinking...The Renegades."
