Marcus suddenly heard a loud scream erupted from the bathroom, and rolled his eyes with a small chuckle. He had produced one really strange child who was really able to get into character in his imaginary worlds very easily. Marcus had no way of knowing that Conroy wasn't alone in the bathroom, and only decided to come to the young child's aid when he screams became more shrill, terrified and frequent. This was more out of annoyance than fatherly Concern.
"CONROY! WHAT ON EARTH ARE-"
In the center of the bathroom, a tall burly man stood beating on the center door, his ankle swishing across the floor as it trailed, only connected by some stray muscles. Seemingly unaware of his injuries, including hundreds of small slashes across his pale skin, the man repeatedly slammed his fists against a bathroom stall. He was wearing a hospital gown, leaving most of his hairy body exposed ,and it only took Marcus a few seconds to realize he was trying to get Conroy, who was screaming as if he was currently being brutally murdered.
"G-G-Go away! GO A-A-A-WAY!!" Conroy shrilly screamed. Marcus could tell he was crying with a pain laced voice. Had he been hurt?
The man continued to bar his fists against the door laughing maniacally, before letting out a yell in a slurred singsong growl. "Awww Pretty boy! I only want to pla-ayyyy!" He let out series of sick twisted laughs as he leaned to look under the stall, causing Conroy's screams to intensify in volume.
"Hey, man, leave the kid alone." Marcus yelled deeply at the man. The man's hands started to jerk wildly as his torso twisted around in a series of small jerks. Every Movement he made seemed wrong, and it was as if he were a broken wind up toy. Ferril, with dilated pupils shaking violently in completely white eyes, he let out another wide laugh from his mouth that was extended by two slits that had been slashed through his cheeks.
Slowly, he ticked his way in Marcus's direction, never stopping his maniacal laughter. As he got closer, Marcus noticed and severely unkempt beard, dirt covering his face, and white foam coming out his mouth.
"Marcus h-h-h-help!" Conroy yelled with pain laced in his voice. "He is t-trying to hur-r-t me!"
"H-Hello?!?!?" The man scream yelled in a creepy singsong voice, violently jerking his head to the side as his tongue danced in and out of his mouth. The hospital gown was covered in what seemed to be blood, and Marcus found himself desperately hoping that none of it was Conroy's.The man pulled out a knife, and his grin widened, causing more blood to pour down his face.
Okay, so first he was having a really bad day, and now he was about to be killed by a maniac.
In a very unsanitary restroom.
What a way to go.
He hadn't even gotten laid yet that day.
"Look man, put the knife down. I'm sure we can sort something out." Marcus pleaded, holding his hands up in surrender, dropping all the IPhones on the ground. He had no clue what Conroy did to make this man so angry, but if he survived this, he was personally going to insure the boy would never do that again.
The man didn't stop walking forward, suddenly picking up speed and accelerating into a run directly at Marcus, who decided standing his ground wasn't going to win this fight. He needed a weapon. He reached over, grabbing the paper towel dispenser that he very easily tore from the crumbling wall. He didn't want to hurt the man, he really didn't, but, at the risk of sounding childish, he reasoned 'he started it'.
With a loud yell of exertion, Marcus smashed the dispenser over the man's head knocking him to the ground. His head caved in like a flat basketball, but he didn't stop laughing. Marcus hit him again, the rusted metal of the dispenser slicing through the soft skin of the man's skull, sending a splatter of blood up onto the ceiling. As the man started to rise, Marcus hit him again sending him back to the ground. Blood and brain matter pooled on the bathroom floor, causing Marcus to kneel over to the side and vomit.
He continued to hit him again and again not stopping until he saw no further movement.
Okay, so that was terrifying and freaking awesome at the same time. As he wiped bile from his face, Marcus felt the need to yell in victory, his adrenalin keeping him from really connecting the dots that he may have just killed a man; crazy maybe, but still a man.
He laughed, bending over, resting his hands on his knees. "Hey Conroy?" He said rather breathlessly. "You can come out now, because your dad is a complete and total boss!"
It took a few seconds, but Marcus soon heard the small thud as Conroy's feet connected with the filthy floor. The boy slowly opened the door, only stopping a second before charging Marcus in a tight and frightened hug. "Hey, kid get off me!" Marcus scolded pushing the boy back. He felt something wet come into contact with his chest and reasons Conroy had wet his pants.
He pushed the sobbing boy away in disgust, but Conroy quickly leached onto him again.
"M-M-M-Marcus let me p-p-please h-h-hug you! I-I-I'm scared! He attacked me! I-I-"
"He attacked you? What the HECK DID YOU DO?!" He looked at Conroy's jacket, the arms covered in blood before gasping audibly. "What the HECK DID HE DO!?!?!"
Conroy sniffled, rolling up his jacket sleeves to reveal shallow slices made by the knife. "He said we had t-t-ta look the same." He replied, obviously shaken up, and on the verge of another round of tears.
"W-W-Where did h-he..." His eyes stopped wide as they rested on the unconscious or possibly dead body of the male attacker."O-O-h....I-I-I guess it was a good thing I g-g-ave you that r-r-rainbow banana g-g-gun...." He muttered weakly, trying to make light of the situation.
"Yeah... good thing." Marcus spoke quietly, looking down at the body once again. It hit him now. He had killed someone. IN self defence sure, but he had taken a life. Or....had....?
Neither of them wanted to get close enough to check for breaths but if you had asked Marcus, he wouldn't have been able to confirm if the man had ever released any,
. "C-C-Can w-w-w-e go home now-w-?" Conroy questioned as he noticed Marcus's hands trembling.
"No, don't be stupid! We have-"
He stopped as Conroy started to silently cry again, terrified and wanting to get as far away from here as possible. He hadn't gotten the same wave of adrenaline his dad had, instead getting one completely comprised of absolute terror. His dad's yelling and lack of comfort did nothing to help him at all.
"Look.....we need to call the cops Conroy." He said calmer, his voice almost comforting. "They can come get this man and take you to a hospital okay?"
Conroy nodded, the gesture making him feel dizzy, so he had to lean against the wall. "C-c-can we just leave this b-bathroom then?"
Marcus nodded, also wanting out of this room. They walked outside, and Marcus didn't even push Conroy away as he leaned on him for support. Marcus slid onto a bench near the entrance to the Zoo, and helped Conroy to sit down. After the he sat down next to him, Conroy started to lean against him, finally resting his head in his lap. Marcus felt very uncomfortable, holding his hands up, about to shove Conroy away, before awkwardly putting his tattooed arm around the whimpering child. He wasn't one to snuggle with children, knowing a few guys that had actually gotten arrested for the act. He felt much more comfortable embracing a strange woman than something he personally helped to grow. He didn't entirely feel comfortable, but let the poor boy stay.
As Marcus pulled out his phone he realized there were thousands upon thousands of posts to every single social media site he had downloaded .He was even getting emails for Myspace posts. He pulled up his Twitter feed, gaping in surprise and confusion at the first few tweets.

I'm leaving, I don't care what the authorities say. I'm leaving. This isn't normal. People who get rabies should be dying or cured, not going super sayian and attacking people!
