Kyohei lined up among the piled customers by the cashier’s desk while Pierre patiently waited for him outside the store. Sitting quietly at one bench, Pierre enjoyed watching few people passing by. A particular scene caught his eyes that suddenly made him gloomy. It was the kind of expression his siblings and familiars weren’t aware of.

He was sad.

He tilted his head facing the ground as he tried to avoid the picturesque scene of a woman laughing with her young son who accidentally dirtied his own shirt with ice cream. He overheard the conversation despite the distance and felt weird.

He was obviously jealous, because he never had a mother since birth.

Pierre: *teary eyed* Okaa-san. *whispers

Kyohei approached gloomy Pierre with grocery bags on his left hand. He tapped Pierre and somehow wonders what could have happened. He then heard a kid chuckle from a distance. The youngest Lawleit gazes at him with puffy eyes. Kyohei then understands and smiled.

Kyohei: I know it is tough Pierre-kun. But where ever Gaea-sama is, I’m quiet sure she’s always watching over you.

Pierre: *stares at the kid* She could’ve lived if I weren’t born.

*Kyohei shakes his head and smiled

Kyohei: *sits beside him* She risked her own life to let you live. You know why, Pierre-kun??

Pierre: *gazes at Kyohei* Why?

Kyohei: Because she’s confident you’re worth it, *gazes at the sky* like proud moms do.*smiles oddly* I was also raised without a mom beside me. *heartrending look

Pierre: *surprised* Kyohei-kun.

Kyohei: *sad smile* It was harder when you got a workaholic dad who doesn’t even ask you if you’ve eaten or not. August-sama was more like a father despite the irritation your brothers have for him. I’d be happy enough to have him mine.

Pierre: *wipes his tears* I’m sorry Kyohei-kun. I did—

Kyohei: *grins* Daijobou. I intended to tell you this to make you realize how lucky we are to have good moms. It wasn’t our fault that they left this world, Pierre-kun. Understood??

*Pierre nods

Kyohei shakes Pierre’s hair and chuckles

Kyohei: The ice cream’s melting. Ikou??

*Pierre smiled and nods

HUNTER SOCIETY HEAD QUARTERS

Confused as he was from the time Flaire visited their shop, Toshiro opted to visit the head quarters to clarify matters regarding the shocking news about August being dethroned. Several hunters paid respect as he passed by the hallways. Greetings flooded when he reached the wide arena where new set of hunters are being trained. Sora and Kira were both surprised to see Toshiro. Sora eventually approached him with a questioning look.

Sora: I thought you’re not stepping a foot back here. What happened?? *worried

Toshiro: *smiles thriftily* I just want to talk to them. Go back to your place.

He pinches Sora’s cheek before walking ahead towards a connecting door. Sora was left with unanswered questions. Kira on the other hand blows a heavy sigh as he glances at Sora. They exchanged glances and somehow shared the same worried look.

Toshiro went inside a conference room where a man in silhouette calmly drinks his coffee.

Toshiro: Is this why you wanted those kids to hunt down as many vampires they can hunt? *accusing
