A Cup of Coffee for a Lonely Prince

After a few hours of running in the woods, they finally reached the oldest mansion ever built near the sea, the nest they both stayed for a hundred of years. The Lawleit siblings were gazing at the high walls of their father’s place. It was made of stone that’s why it was impossible to break in for humans. The big gates were a symbol of might and power that adds the impression of superiority and authority.

August: It’s been a long time. *smiles

Shiori: *smiles calmly* Me too. Ikou, onii-san?

August: *glances at Shiori, amused but later nodded* Ikou.

The big gates suddenly swung open as the wind delivers the scent coming from August and Shiori. It seems to recognize them easily and gave them easy access of the place. Though old fashioned, the gate was more convenient than electronic gates being used nowadays.

As they passed the spacious gardens loaded with red roses and camellias, they suddenly smell this disturbing aroma of death that caused them to freeze from their last step. The familiarity of this scent brought numbness to Shiori’s limbs. August on the other hand prepared himself of the possibilities of getting into battle. He then reached for Shiori’s hand and motioned to run but Shiori refused. Wind was blowing hastily bringing this fearful scent around, signaling them to immediately leave.

August: *vigilant*We have to leave, Shiori-chan.

Shiori: *tightens her hold of August’s hand* What about otoo-san?? She might harm father, nii-san. *worried

August: *gazes at a particular window of the mansion* But we both admit we are no match against her. How can she ignore the opportunity of seeing us?? You are obviously weak and distracted, and I am not even sure if I can protect you from her.  *low voice

*wind hustles violently, dried leaves falling from old sturdy trees in the garden

Shiori: Wakatta. *slowly releases her hand from August’ hold* Demo, *faces August with a determined face* I still want to see dad. *suddenly runs away towards the open entrance door

August: *surprised* Shiori!!

Shiori runs with all her might to reach her father’s room and check on him. Maria’s presence were scattered inside the house which in fact makes her tremble. But her fear of loosing a father and son was scarier than meeting her older sister after the betrayal she did.

The betrayal, the moment when Maria’s face was dumb struck upon seeing her siblings helping the elders in sealing her away into a different dimension. And that caused her an enormous amount of anger capable of bringing down the entire clan. Shiori knew that it was not Maria’s end, not on that chapter of her life. After all, revenge was always her greatest motivation. And as a result, she ended up supporting the evil force that threatens their clan.

August had no choice but to tail on Shiori is in a hurry climbing the grand staircase of the mansion. He looks around as he passed by the living room. Maria’s aura sure did scatter all around the place. It was giving him the goose bumps all of a sudden. He looked up to see the antique chandeliers hanging up the ceilings. It was swaying as if wind has passed by. There were four chandeliers swaying wildly, almost loosing its hold from the ceilings. August’ eyes widen as he anticipated one chandelier falling down from Shiori’s direction.

August: *fierce* Shiori, look out!! *runs and pushed Shiori away with all his might

Shiori did not notice August following her so it was a surprise to hear his cautioned voice echoing. She only had thoughts of her father that’s why it was impossible for her to notice a chandelier threatening her vulnerable body. It was a good thing August was right on time to push her away.
