When Onyx stepped in the entrance of the ramen shop, he knew everyone’s reaction would turn out that way. It’s not just because he went home past 8.

Sho almost dropped the bowl of ramen he’s about to serve when he glanced at Onyx. Juno stiffened at the counter’s direction while Toshiro shared the same reaction as Sora, jaws dropped. Kira who just tied his apron somehow can’t ignore his new appearance and eyes narrowed.

He sighed seeing Taka’s amused face.

 Well at least there’s one who doesn’t have that expected look.

Taka welcomed him with a grin.

Taka: Okaeri, Onyx-kun. Nice hair. *smiles

*Onyx replied with a weak smile

He was unexplainably exhausted. The customers were enjoying their dishes that they weren’t even bothered of the scene. Onyx drastically pulled of his shoes and tried to ignore their surprised look.

Straight towards the kitchen, he tried his best not to look back and run at Sho’s arms to sob. He just felt it was not the right thing to do now that he’s old enough to decide on his own. He opened the refrigerator and took a gallon of water.

Surprisingly, he drank a gallon of water without realizing he was that thirsty.

Taka was stunned seeing he emptied the container in a matter of seconds. Sora gulped.

Toshiro: *drops his gloves* Onyx.

*everyone enters the kitchen, away from the customers reach

*Onyx paused and finally glances back at them

*Sora wears  a worried look

*Kira stares at him sharply

*Juno exhausted but still worried

*no one spoke for a moment

*Sho dared to approach Onyx

*Onyx moves backwards

Onyx: *gloomy* I’m trying to figure this out by myself. It’ll be a big help if not one of you dares to pamper me this time. Instead, just mind your business without interrupting mine.

*Sora mouth open hearing Onyx harsh words

*dads were horrified

*Taka kept his silence and smirked

Kira: Wakatta.

*Onyx glances at him

Kira: *sharp stare at Onyx* But remember this. *points at Onyx

*everyone glanced at Kira’s direction

*Onyx matches his stare with his new set of eyes

Kira: Living under the same roof and treating you like my younger brother won’t excuse you from the hunt.*harshly

*everyone was horrified

Toshiro: Kira!

Sora: *annoyed* I really think that’s too much, Kira-kun.

*Taka just listened

Sho: You shouldn’t say that Kira-kun.

Onyx: *dark* Wakarimashita. Kira-kun has an obligation to fulfill. *faces everyone and showed a warm smile* I’m just glad to hear he considers me his younger brother and sparing my life all this time. Thanks, Kira-kun. *looks straight at Kira
