3rd Person POV
The apartment was empty, quiet. All it's occupants either out shopping or at work. The peaceful quiet of the apartment was interupted by a jiggling lock and the door swinging open to reveal one of the occupants. Her hair long, the color bringing out the brown of her eyes and the paleness in her. She was fairly tall but not too tall, she was slim now in her adult years, being 25 years old.
The young woman sighed and ran her hand through her straightened hair as her high heels clacked into the apartment, closing the door and setting her things on the kitchen table and taking off her high heels after a long day in them. She immediately went to the room she shared with a few others and changed into a white Tshirt and shorts. She busied herself with taking off her make up. Just as she wiped the last bit of concealer from her cheek there was a knock on the door. The sound startling her and confusing her at the same time.
"Who could that be?" She asked the empty apartment as she started throwing away the make up remover wipes and capping the coconut oil as well.
She put everything away and went to answer the door, swinging the white surface open. The person that met her brown eyes on the other side made them widen greatly.
"Aubriana." The boy smiled in greeting, making HyoRin flinch at the unfamiliarity of her American name.
"Daniel, what are you doing here?" HyoRin tilts her head, trying to wrap it around the idea of this boy at her door.
"My work has finally wrapped up, so I've come for Megan, didn't she tell you?" He said with a large grin on his slender face.
She raised an eyebrow at that, even more perplexed by this news. She knitted her eye brows together.
"No..." She trailed off and eyed the man.
Why would he be here for Megan? What was between him and Megan that meant he'd come all the way to Korea from America? What was going on that HyoRin wasn't aware of?
"We're engaged, so of course I'd come for her!" He piped with a happy smile and glittering eyes.
This news made HyoRin's eyebrows shoot up and she tried to keep her mouth from hanging open. Engaged!? When did this happen? She got engaged and didn't tell me?
Her thoughts spiked and ran wild, changing her facial expression from suprise into a pout.
"Uhm... Aubriana? Can I come in?" He asked, feeling awkward as the young woman seemed to not have been informed of his and Megan's engagement.
Again the unfamiliar sound of her name made her flinch out of her thoughts.
"Uh yeah. Sorry, and my name is HyoRin now." She told him with a polite smile and stepped aside to let him in.
He nodded and stepped into the apartment, HyoRin closing the door behind him and awkwardly picked up a few things, including a sweater of hers that she threw aside when she had returned from work and some coffee mugs of sorts on the coffee table. She put her sweater away and the cups in the sink.
"Uhm.... You can look around if you want..." She said awkwardly and he nodded, doing just that.
HyoRin's head lifted when she heard the door open again, she rushed quickly and grabbed who ever walked in, dragging a startled Hannah into the kitchen.
"What's going on why-" The poor girl was cut off when the older woman clapped her hand over her mouth.
"Be quiet! He'll hear you!" HyoRin said in a rushed whisper, glancing down the hall.
"Daniel's here for Megan, apparently him and Megan are engaged!" HyoRin whispered and Hannah's eyes widened. HyoRin drops her hand from the younger girl's mouth.
"What!?" Hannah whispered in the same tone HyoRin used a moment ago. The older woman nodded her head.
"Why didn't she tell us!?" Hannah hissed and HyoRin shrugs her dainty shoulders.
"I don't know.." HyoRin frowns along with Hannah as they watch said man walk about their apartment.
•••••••
"You guys know I'm always the last one in-"
HyoRin looked at the older woman with the others around the three who had just entered the apartment still had looks of startled suprise on their faces, one the officially made it's way onto Megan's face as her eyes found her fiancé who smiled charmingly at her, although he seemed uncomfortable.
"You have a lot to explain." HyoRin said, a frown pulling at her lips.
