"Have you listen to the samples of the new songs yet," my mother questioned.
I scrolled through Instagram looking at all of the pictures and videos my fan's were posting from my show. "Uh kinda," I responded not really being attentive.
"Shawn you know this is serious!"
I kept my eyes glued to my phone, ignoring the tone in her voice. "I don't like any of them. They all sound the exact same."
"Well honey it doesn't really matter. You're fans will love it, we know what sells."
I rolled my eyes and stood up, "Yeah I'll give them another listen." I made my way to the back of the bus where all of my game counsels were plugged in.
"Love you," my mother tried to make up for her yelling at me just a second ago.
"Love you too," I mumbled back.
I flopped my body on the couch and slid on my head set. The noises of gun shots and people yelling filled my ears as I started the game.
A few hours later I felt the bus stop a knock sounded at sliding door that separated me from the rest of the bus.
"Hey Shawn, do you want anything from the gas station?"
"No thanks mom."
I shut my Xbox off and waited for everyone to exit the bus. Once it was completely quiet I grabbed my skateboard and quickly walked off the bus. I looked around and made sure no one was watching me before I jumped on my skateboard. I need to clear my head, get away, even if it was only for a few minutes.

I stood in the cold leaning against the delivery car. Only the sound of fallen leaves scratching against the ground and the humming of a florescent light filled the night. I reeked of pizza and cigarette smoke from the person who had the shift before me. Its been a pretty busy night, I suppose Friday nights are when people hang out with friends and order pizzas because its convenient. I wouldn't know. On my Fridays that I had off I enjoyed listening to music off of my scratchy records while drawing. Art was kind of my thing. Sure I did well in school but art is my passion.
The machine reached $40 signaling to me that the tank was full. I pulled the pump out and quickly placed it back in the holder. I hastily walked through the parking lot to the gas station attempting to escape the cold. I scanned the room once or twice before finding the hot chocolate machine. I grabbed a stiraphome to go cup and filled it to the brim with the premade hot chocolate before placing a lid on it and making my way to the cash register. After paying for the gas and my drink I hustled back to the car. I turned on the engine and cranked the heat. A loud humming came from the top of the car signaling to me that the small 'pizza' sign was on and running. I sat in the parking lot letting the car warm up, while waiting I turned the radio letting it fill the silence.
"Shawn Mendes just finished his sold out show in Los Angeles. This kid is only 18. His screaming fan girls show up in packs. Shawn is preforming in Las Vegas in three days, there's already hundreds of fans just waiting to get a glimpse of him," the radio host raved.
I rolled my eyes. Just another teen pop star with thousands of adoring fans. How easy his life must be.
A loud pounding sounded on my window, my heart jumped out of my chest. I looked up to see an oddly familiar teen age boy. He was wearing a black hoodie that was over his brown hair, a worried look was plastered over his face.
"Let me in," he yelled continuing to pound on the glass.
Stranger danger, "Absolute not."
"Come on, you have to," he begged.
"No way."
A group of girls ran around the corner, they were all screaming things that I couldn't quite make out. What I could tell was they were all making a b-line for who ever this guy was.
"Come on please," he looked at me with puppy dog eyes.
"Alright get in," I caved.

This story is based on the movie Be Somebody its about a teen pop star who is basically sick of fame and all of its technicalities. I've got some big things planned for this book. If you are reading this comment what you think so far. I will post the next chapter on October 29th then every Saturday. Thank you for everything.
