"So what are we doing today," Shawn asked his back turned toward me as I changed clothes. I threw on an old tattered sweatshirt over my sport bra then slid on a pair of leggings paired with my old running shoes.
"We are going to put my art out there." Shawn smiled bigger than I had ever seen him smile.
"But there is one tiny problem..." He looked at me in confusion. "I'm not old enough to by the supplies.."
Shawn continued to look at me his eyebrows furrowed, "What the hell are you talking about?"
"Spray paint."
Shawn held his hand up high, "Oh shit. I didn't peg you for a badass."
"Oh you've got a lot to learn babe," I mocked giving him a high five.
"Well before we go around tagging stuff we need to go get some food, I'm fucking hungry," Shawn said reaching for my bedroom door. I shook my head and pointed toward the window.
"You want me to go out the window?"
I nodded, "I don't know if my parents are awake."
"What am I supposed to just jump," Shawn failed his arms.
I shrugged, "Yeah its only like 15 feet."
"I'm fucking terrified of heights.."
"I'm sure you'll manage," I reached for the door and exit, leaving Shawn in my bedroom.
I reached the kitchen and was relieved to see that no one was home. On the counter was a note in my moms handwriting. I think at this point they just reuse the same note over and over, it always says the same thing. Dad got called into work and I have appointments scheduled. It didn't bother me that they went into work on the weekends it was bothersome how often they did it. Except today I was almost glad they did, knowing that neither of them would be home until 10 tonight made it a little bit easier to sneak out.
I walked outside around the house to where I expected Shawn to be on the ground waiting for me. I shielded the sun from my eyes as I look up to the top of the roof. Shawn shuffled back and forth shaking his head.
"Camila I can't do this," Shawn sounded like he was hyperventilating.
A small giggle escaped my lips, "Come on you can do it."
"O-Okay will you catch me?"
It was kind of adorable to see Shawn who is 6'1 trembling at the thought of jumping from a roof top that is only 15 feet from the ground.
I smiled widely, "Yeah I'll catch you," I lied knowing that if he jumped on me I'd collapse.
Shawn continued to survey the ground, "P-promise?"
"Just jump I promise I'll catch you."
I could hear Shawn exhale all the way from the ground before he basically trust fell from the roof. I held my arms out attempting to brace his fall in any way I could. He landed with his feet on the ground but lost his balance tumbling into my arms. The impact caused me to fall to the ground Shawn following.
"Oh my god are you okay," Shawn asked frantically. I was laughing too hard to respond.
Once I caught my breath I sat up, "You so owe me lunch."
"It'd be my pleasure," Shawn extended his arm and pulled me from the ground.

Shawn and I ordered food from a small dinner on main street. We just sat and talked. I was so fascinated by all of his stories about crazy fans and all of the legends he has met even the stories of stage mishaps, Shawn talked about all of this as if it was nothing.
"Would you rather be a normal teenager?"
"Honestly yeah," Shawn responded without hesitation. "I'm sick of everyone telling me what to do. You know?"
"Wow it must be so hard," I rolled my eyes sarcastically.
"Okay tell me some of your first world problems."
The first thing that came to my mind was school. I explained how painstaking it was to wake up at 6am to get ready to go somewhere that I have to listen to people talk for 8 hours.
"I have to go to hell for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week," I talked referring to school.
Shawn rolled his eyes, "I never graduated highschool."
"Fine your point," I mumble.
"Alright uh I live on a moving bus where my mom controls my every move."
"I live in a house where my parents don't even acknowledge I exist," I spoke nonchalantly.
"Your point."
Shawn and I went back and forth arguing about who had it worse when in reality neither of us had it bad. We called a truce and decided that the grass is always greener on the other side.
"Well we've got some time to spare," Shawn mumbled as he gnawed on his last fry.
"We've done a lot of normal how about we do something on your side of the grass."
Shawn grinned, "I think I've got an idea." He placed a fifty dollar bill on the table before leading me out of the diner. We walked side by side down the street I poked an paraded trying to figure out what Shawn's big idea was but he wouldn't budge.
After about ten minutes of walking we reached a small bridge off of a footpath. I've been here hundreds of times. The bridge was only four feet wide and maybe twenty feet long. The river that once ran under the rustic bridge has long been dried up.
Shawn pointed to the small bridge, "Go stand up there." I followed his command as Shawn walked down to where the river once was.
"What are we-"

"Lean on the railing," I yelled to Camila as I pulled my iPhone from my pocket. She did as I said, I flashed her a large grin which made her smirk in response. "Gorgeous. Beautiful," I yelled in an over exaggerated British accent.
Camila continued to smile as the wind perfectly blew the hair out of her face. The lighting showed off her beautiful brown eyes and long eyelashes. I continued to take pictures as she played with her hair.
Camila flailed her arms in the air, "Get up here. I want some pictures with you."
I bent down and propped the phone down on a rock. I set the timer and made sure the bridge with Camila was in frame before I quickly jogged to her side. She turned toward me, my eyes were drawn to her plump lips. I drug my thumb across her bottom lip before I held her head in my hand, she looked so fucking beautiful. I pressed my lips against hers just as the timer sounded.
"Shawn I uh I don't-"
I furrowed my eyebrows, "You're telling me you haven't felt anything between us?" I asked as cliché as it sounded.
Camila looked at her feet avoiding eye contact, "I've only known you for two days..."
I nodded, "Okay. I get it." I forced a smile.
Camila wrapped her small arms around my body nusling her head into my chest.
She pulled away with a smile on her face, "Come on I've got one last thing to show you."
