{Camila}
I scratched my head as I yawned then sat on the edge of my bed. Reluctantly I pulled my self off of the bed.
I yelped as I hit the ground with a thud.
"Why are you still here", I groaned.
"Good morning to you too sunshine," Shawn smiled. His groggy morning voice was oddly sexy.
I shuffled my body onto Shawn's makeshift bed, laying my head on his pillow, leaving our heads only inches apart.
"Why don't you put any of this out there for the world to see it?"
I furrowed my eye brows, "What are you talking about?"
"Your art work, its beautiful. Why don't you put it anywhere for people to see it?"
"When you start releasing music you like I'll start letting people see my art," I spoke my voice still scratchy.
Shawn exhaled his warm breath brushing against my face, "Its not that simple?"
"Why not?"
"Because I don't want to write stupid love songs. But stupid love songs that make all of my fans swoon are what sells."
I smiled at Shawn placing my hand on his under the blankets. "You have a large fan base. I'm sure you could release any song you want and they would love it."
"I might hold you up to that bet, you first."
I held my pink in the air, "Promise you'll release at least one song you wrote yourself?"
"Only if you design the cover," He held his hand in the air.
I interlocked my pinky with his we both laughed at how childish this action was. When he laughed small wrinkles formed next to his eyes, his plump lips pulled back exposing a small dimple on his cheek. Light shined through my window revealing a small notch in his cheek that I hadn't seen in the dark last night.
"Well I better call my mom," Shawn mumbled sounding unenthusiastic.
"You haven't talked to your mom yet?"
Shawn chuckled, "No."
He reached his hand out brushing my hair out of my face. "Don't you have a show tonight?"
Shawn shook his head, "Tomorrow night. Which means I can stay for another night."
"Yeah I'm sure there's a room open at the Motel 8 in town," I said in all seriousness.
"I was hoping I could stay here.."
I rolled my eyes, "This isn't a fucking hotel Shawn."
"Oh come on. Just one more night," he begged pouting his lips.
I couldn't say no, "Fine but I have an idea and you're buying." A large smile spread across his face. "I promise its nothing too illegal, wouldn't want to ruin your good Canadian boy act."
"Oh babe you've got some learning to do."
I heard Shawn's phone ring only once as his mother frantically answered.
{Shawn}
"Where the hell are you," She yelled trough the phone.
"Well I'm doing fine thank you for asking."
"Where are you I'm sending John down to get you right now."
I angrily rolled my eyes, "No you're not. Book me a flight for tomorrow afternoon."
"Your coming get to Vegas now Shawn."
"Mom you can't control me, I'll be there in time for the show,"
"Shawn Peter Raul Mendes I swear if you don't-" she started to threaten.
"Love you," I spoke before hanging up and shutting my phone off.
"Wow being famous must be so hard," Camila giggled.
I stood up and threw the blanket over her face, "Fuck off."
Camila pulled off the blanket and sat up, thumbing through her phone. She was so beautiful. Long black unkempt hair cascaded down her shoulder falling to the middle of her back. Her eyes lit up when she saw something on her phone that made her smile.
"Ooh who's this," Camila help up her phone displaying a picture of me and a girl I used to date, Lauren.
Lauren had been one of my best friends since I was little, we grew up together. There was that one night were we contemplated if we could ever be more than best friends. We decided to give it a shot. I would come home from tour and sped all of my time with her. But Lauren was the jealous type. When I would have to go back on the road she always suspected that I was with other girls and I can't say she was wrong. I can't say I didn't love her, she was my first love but temptation overpowered me.
The picture was from last year, prom. Lauren and I were on the rocks but when I asked her she didn't refuse. I was wearing a black tux, a purple boutineer pined to it. Lauren was wearing a navy dress that hugged her curves perfectly, her brown hair pinned up. I guess I have a things for brunettes.
"She's a friend from back home," I wasn't lying but I sure as hell wasn't telling the whole truth.
Camila nodded skeptically, "You're holding her awfully close for her to be just a friend."
I shrugged, "It was prom she was my date. Haven't you ever had to take prom pictures?"
"No..."
"Have you ever been to a school dance," She didn't seem like a girl involved in school activities but I asked anyways.
Camila shook her head, the grin on her face faded.
"Homecoming?"
"Last week. I didn't go," Camila tucked some of her hair behind her ear.
"When's your schools prom," I asked devising a plan.
Camila squinted her eyes, "Uh...May 20th?"
"Camila will you go to prom with me?"
She looked at me and laughed. Once Camila realized I wasn't laughing with her looked embarrassed, "Oh you were serious..."
My face got red, I felt foolish for even asking. I was just trying to be nice, plus I kind of liked her. Not that I would ever admit to it out loud.
"I'll stop by during tour, we can take annoying prom pictures, it'll be cute."
A smile spread across her face, "Really? You'd do that for me?"
I shrugged, "Yeah why not?"
Camila never said yes but she didn't need to, the look on her face said it all.
