The Call

That evening my mom and I watched a movie while the rest of the crew were setting up decorations. Mom's birthday is tomorrow and she doesn't have a clue about the party! The family and I are all planning a surprise party and my job was to keep mom out of the living room while everyone else was putting up the finishing touches. Wait.. Don't think we didn't order a cake! I mean honestly of course we ordered a cake! I think! Well with this family anything could happen. Mom and I were about half way through the movie when the phone started to ring. It wasn't unusual but at this time of night it was. Mom is a director. She's normally always on the phone. Nobody calls this late, though. Thinking it was one of the cast members of her hot TV show JESSIE she got up and ran to the phone. I tried to hear the conversation but the walked out of the room. I heard a lot of mmhms and okays and yeahs but nothing really other than. She walked back in the room and started to say something but she stopped. "It was the captain, dad's homecoming has been delayed due to enemy invasion." She blurted out. She flopped down on the couch and I tried to comfort her. My dad's in the army. He is Lieutenant Nicholas Faller. I miss him and it's not common that his homecoming is delayed but it's happened once or twice or seven times and counting but I mean that's what it's like in an army family. Dad was supposed to catch a flight home tomorrow so he could be here for moms birthday. He's not coming home for another 3 weeks now.. yay. I got up and ran to Mikey and told him the news then he spread the word to Kalah and she told Nicky. We were all pretty bummed. What made it better though was that Kalah texted Debby (Ryan) who called Pey who texted Johannah and Spencer about the news. Now Debby, Kalah's friend, Peyton, Johannah and Spencer were coming over. A little moral support can't hurt. Mikey walked downstairs and yelled on the top of his lungs (classic Mikey) that his "mystery friend" was coming over too. Us girls got alottttt of spying to do! We were waiting for about 15 minutes after that when we heard a knock on the door. "We're here!" Spencer yelled as he let himself in. I believe Peyton knocked first then came spence. Well Peyton obviously knew who the mystery guy was and now she was on their side. Lovely. Then I saw Johannah walking up the driveway. We live 2 houses down and we live in a very big but no danger area. It's not that big of a deal to walk down the block. Sorta like the 70's except better fashion sense. Debby came next and she came with the mystery boy! He had a Lakers snapback on and some sunglasses. A cute white V-neck and blue skinny jeans with some Jordan's, that dudes got some serious style.. And muscle.. Peyton ran over to him and gave him a hug! Thanks Pey! Mikey, Spence and (let's call the mystery boy Bob) bob ran upstairs to Mikey's room. Me and the girls went to my room. Kalah and Debby went to the spa with mom. Lucky. We sat on my bed and started to talk. We mainly talked about the trip! We were so excited! We talked about the campfire songs and s'mores and ghost stories. Then I brought up the competition and Johannah and I turned to Peyton. "So, I see you've met the mystery guy, huh?" Johannah said. "Let's call him bob, I feel it's suits his style very nicely!" I said. We all laughed at this comment. "Yeah, I've met 'Bob' and he's really nice. He's a lot like you Mia!" Peyton said. "Uh huh I see.. FAVORTIE COLOR!" I blurted waiting for Peyton's response. "Blue!" She replied. We went on for about 5 minutes doing this. "Favorite food?" (Some of these things aren't true so don't tell people this info it's not all true k?) " Cookies!" "Favorite animal!" "He doesn't have a favorite he likes them all!" Wow he is a lot like me.. Freaky... "Well that doesn't mean anything I haven't even talked to him so we can't be sure he's like me I already have a twin anyways!" I retorted a bit obnoxiously. I didn't want someone to be like me other than my brother it's always been us and them we were always the outgoing different ones and everyone else was the way they are. "Be right back I'm just going to go to the bathroom." Johannah suddenly said. She walked out of the room and shut the door behind her.

"Why did she take her phone with her?" Peyton asked. "Uhh I don't know she prob has a good reason or something." I tried to cover for her. Johannah has some really big news except she isn't ready to tell anyone. She only told me on accident and she knew she could trust me. Her mom is pregnant. She won't be and only child and since I have 3 other siblings she thought I could help her out. Of course I can! "Mmhmk I guess she does have a good reason.. DO YOU THINK SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND?!" Peyton practically screamed suspiciously. Uh oh she's getting suspicious! "Umm I don't think that's it." "AHHHH!!!!!!!" We heard Johannah scream in the hallway and we can running. We were just about to open the door when he heard another scream. This one was a more excited scream. I flung the door open to see Johannah laughing and crying at the same time into bobs chest. Next to them we saw Mikey and Spence with death reaper outfits on. "MICHAEL JAMES FALLER!" I screamed while Peyton was screaming at spence. "WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO A SWEET LITTLE GIRL WHO WAS COMING OUT OF THE BATHROOM!?! I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU DID THAT! IT IS SO ON WHEN WE GET TO THE LAKE!" I scream.

It got really quiet and I looked over to Johannah and bob. His SnapBack was off and so were his glasses but I couldn't really see his face due to Johannah's wild hair. I saw some freckles but that was really it. I swear I saw those freckles somewhere though...

(A/N: I'm sitting in my 93°F basement with the air conditioning on eating ice cream in a tank top and shorts. There is something wrong with me especially since Mikey is next to me doing the same thannngggg!)

** Johannah's P.O.V**

I went to the bathroom to text my mom back. She went to the ultrasound today and I wanted to see how the baby was doing. When I was done texting her I walked out of the bathroom and looked up from my phone and saw 2 death reapers and screamed. I shoved my head into my hands and fell to the floor in horror! They looked so real! When they took off their masks and helped me up they said they thought it would be funny and tried to get me to scare the other girls but I said no. I heard a room door close and the one and only CAMERON FREAKIN BOYCE WALKED OUT! He is from my all time fav hit tv show Jessie which just happens to be Mia's mom's show I had always admired him but Mia was never really into him she was more into one direction. She was obsessive like when you walked into her room 4 walls were painted as the British flag and the rug was the Irish flag. Know when I saw the British flag was painted on I mean the whole wall was the flag from one tip to the next. Same with the carpet and she has a GIANT ROOM! I screamed again but this time with joy at seeing him then I started to cry again because he was in the same hallway as me and he walked over and gave me a hug and I buried my head in his chest and started to cry. The Mia and Peyton walked out of the room, well RAN out if the room to see what all the screaming was and the they started to scream which made me start to laugh and then i was laughing and crying at the same time.. I was craughing!
