Groan....
"Night fur!? Somethings wrong! i-I don't know just please hurry!" Okami pleaded into the phone she'd found on the glossy wooden floor.

"I don't know! I don't know!" she sobbed, practically screaming into the shiny metal device "Just please! Hurry"

Emily laid on the dusty floor. Her vision fading in and out, the panicked screams of who she presumed to be Okami making little sense to her as she struggled to stay awake, her body numb and unresponsive.

Something had gone wrong, what exactly, she didn't really know or remember. And thinking about it was only increasing the already present headache. Groaning, she repeatedly blinked hoping to focus on the snowy white mass hovering over her.

After a few minutes, her sight finally cleared, the numbness in her ears dissipating so she could finally hear. Immediately, she was met with sobs and a very panicky Okami. The white wolf was desperately clinging onto a cellphone, which Emily realized was hers, tears flowing down her pale cheeks. She looked absolutely terrified.

"Neesan...?" Emily tested, her voice came barely above a whisper and shaky. Chaos, her throat felt like sand paper. Gulping in some air, she ended causing her pained body a coughing fit. Her body shook terribly with every cough, her poor lungs still reeling from the impact of whatever had happened to her, yet eventually she managed to calm down. Wheezing she opened her eyes, tears traveling down her pale cheeks.

"Emily?! Are you ok? What happened?" the white wolf frantically cried. She shook with panic, the phone discarded by her side as she now lommed above the frail girl. Absentmindedly, she wondered how the wolf had gotten into her house and why? Just a few minutes ago she... Wait.

Looking past the lupine, she realized it was about midday. But... Hadn't she been working on a potion just now? It couldn't be midday yet, surely. Looking back at the fuzzy mess above her, she meant to ask her about the two hour gap in her memory but she guessed that would have to wait, as she felt her body give out. And she could only guess the horrified look on her cousin's face was due to her eyes going all wonky? Or had they rolled into the back of her head?

Ohhh...
Wearily, the blue furred girl opened her eyes. Softly she whined, everything around her was dark, thankfully by her left moonlight streamed in through the glass sliding doors, white curtain drifting lazily in front of it.

"Where the hell am I?" She wondered, propping herself up on her elbows. Scanning the moonlit room, there was a door to her far right, that she assumed lead to a hallway, just in front of her was a darkish couch which she could only assume was grey. On the couch she could just barely make out a form, was someone sleeping there?

Curious she tried sitting up completely but pain ended shooting up her spine leaving her breathless and weak once more as she lost her balance and flopped into a pillow.
Trembling she let herself sink into the mattress she was on. Softly she tried to regulate her breathing, pained tears escaping her eyes.

After a few minutes, the pain finally subsided. Gingerly she opened her eyes. "Well, I think I'd rather not move."

"Emily?"

Startled the blue girl looked over to her left, a pair of tired emerald eyes belonging to none other than Sonic the hedgehog where inspecting her. He looked exhausted and Emily, after the initial shock, wondered just what he was doing here. Surely the hero of Möbius had better things to do.

"Are you ok? How do you feel?" He asked

"I'm ok, I guess. A little sore and some pain here and there but I'm ok. What are you doing here?"

"You think after hearing you got hurt I was gonna let my baby cousin in some cramped old hospital room? And then, not make sure you where gonna be ok?" he faked looking hurt letting a smile form on his face.

"Ok ok, I'm sorry. Well, that explains why the room is so big, anyways!" Emily giggled and smiled

"Are you sure it's Ok to keep me here though?"

"Its fine! The hospital reserved this room for me for when ever I needed it." suddenly his smile fainted worry flooding his features, gingerly he looked at the girl on the bed one more

"You gave us all quite the scare." He sighed gently squeezing her hand "What exactly happened, Em?"

"I-I don't know." she stuttered "I just remember waking up in pain. Okami was panicking and I just...don't know..." Softly she bit her lip. Being unable to answer him made her feel bad yet it was the truth and she couldn't really do anything about it. Sensing her distress Sonic softly leaned over "Hey hey" he whispered " If you can't remember its ok. You don't have to be upset. I get myself hurt all the time!" he said gently a genuine smile on his face.

"I was just worried. Since you fiddle around with chaos energy I wanted to make sure you didn't severely hurt yourself with it, who knows what would happen if you did" he explained softly letting go of her hand and finally sitting down. Both hedgehogs staid silent, the only noise was of their breathing and the silent shuffle of the curtains.

"Sonic?" Emily started

"Yeah?" he asked yawning

"Thank you for looking out for me..."

Softly he chuckled "Your welcome Cuz but I think you should probably thank Okami and Night. Their the ones who found you anyways" he yawned

"Well, I guess ill have to wait then. It is pretty late"

"Yeah. You should probably go to sleep"

"So should you" she giggled her eye lids becoming heavy

"Yeah yeah, good night Em"

Snuggling into her bed she smiled, her eyes closing as she muttered
"Good night Sonic"
