Christmas Eve is a very special time of year it's a beautiful and sad time for some people.

Tao was walking down the snowy streets looking for the perfect present for his girlfriend. He walked past a jewelry shop when a ring with a heart shaped diamond on it caught his eye. As he looked at the ring he thought about his girlfriend. It was perfect. He walked into the shop and purchased it. Tonight he was going to ask her the big question.

He started calling his girlfriend.

Tao's Pov

*beep, beep, beep*

"Hello?"

"Hey sweetie are you free tonight?" Tao asked as he looked down at the ring smiling happily

"Yeah."

"Ok, then lets meet up at your favorite restaurant." He said happily

"Ok. See you there. Bye bye."

*hangs up*

Your Pov~

I hanged up and stared blankly at the screen, I was so happy that I got to see him on Christmas Eve. I quickly got ready to go meet Tao.

15 minutes later

I was walking across the street when I hear a car's wheel screeching, then the white snow turn red.

Tao's Pov

I looked out the window and my blood ran cold. I ran down the stairs, just like her blood running down the street. I pushed through the line of police, and got to her limp body. I knelt down next to her. I placed her head onto my lap. It was as if time stopped as I looked at her pale face.

"Wake up... please wake up. Don't scare me like this." Tao whispered and tear drops fell from his eyes onto her dirt covered face

Her breathing was ragged and uneven. I tried to calm her down by stroking her snow covered hair.

Your pov

I heard Tao calling me, and stroking my hair. I tried my best to opened my eyes. Slowly my eye lids parted reveling a grief stricken Tao. His eyes were red from crying. I mustered all the power I could, and lifted my hand up to his face.

Slowly I wipe the tears from his face with my thumb. He looked down at me lovingly. He then reached into his pocket.

Tao's pov

I reached into me pocket, and pulled out the tiny red box with the ring in it. I showed it to her and she smiled at me.

"W-will you marry me?" My voice caught in my throat as I thought about what if she didn't make it.

"Of course..." She simply said

I took the ring out and slipped it into her ring finger, and kissed it.

"I-I love you." She whispered one last time

Then her hand that I was holding went limp. I never even got to say I love you back, there just wasn't enough time.
