Reborn (Transformers Prime x Reader) VERY VERY OLD

Chapter 12

"Ratchet, ground bridge!" Optimus' voice rang through the base, he sounded urgent he technically screamed into the com-link.

The Ground bridge opened and Optimus walked back to the base with the Star saber. Well, half of the Star saber, Ratchet walked over to him shocked like all of us but he remained calm and lead him over to the medbay for a check up. 

'Thank Primus it was only the Star saber that got destroyed' feeling slightly relieved the Prime is still alive but now there's something else that is bothering you. 'What could have destroyed the Star Saber...' 

You turned towards the ground bridge once again after hearing another foot step that does not belong to Optimus.

"Smokescreen?" you said confused and shocked like the rest of the team when you saw the blue and white bot who you got informed that turned into dust in the battle with Megatron while on mission with Arcee.

"And Omega key number one"he said smiling with pride while holding the omega key up high for everyone to see. 

"But how," Arcee ask in disbelief "I mean I saw you." 

"I, ugh, decided to borrow phase shift"

"Again!" exclaimed Ratchet who was checking on Optimus' wounds.

"Good thing too, the weight from the blast hit me like a wrecking ball. The impact must have activated the shifter, I don't know how long i was unconscious but when I made my way back outside Optimus and Megatron with deeply in an epic throw down. I waited for the right moment to make my move." Smokescreen explained, everyone listened around him quietly listening to the story.

"You're learning."said Arcee talking to Smokescreen friendly the first time after the incident of Jack.

"So can I keep It." Smokescreen putting his arm that have the shifter in front of his chest asking Ratchet "I mean it is really working out for me."

"Fine, fine." Ratchet said in surrender

"Yes!"

"Just don't lose it" You added can't help but smile at his reaction like a little boy. 

"It's safe under my protection." answer Smokescreen "Awesome! Signature weapon!"he says walking off until he saw the broken Star Saber.

"You got yours, Optimus lost his." Bulkhead said in a sad voice.

"At least it's not him" you said still trying to make the team see your point. 

"The balance of power shifted again" add Arcee.

"While he may have wielded the power of the ancients for only one day, Optimus does not require it to be the mightiest of warriors" Ratchet reminded everyone Optimus don't need a big sword to be great which everyone silently agrees.

Everyone looked over to Optimus, seeing the leader decoding the second set of coordinates like nothing happens but you can feel he's upset and he's trying to fill the gap between the Autobots and Decepticons by decoding. 

Soon after that everyone went back to do their own things or discuss other things with others and you went up to the coach took a nap until Smokescreen spoke out to the air. 

"I'm going to be a great warrior someday. Like Optimus." Smokescreen said staring at Optimus with admiration.

"Well, train hard and gain some wisdom along the way and I'm sure it'll happen." Bulkhead said stopping his conversation with Arcee.

"Oh it will, it's my destiny." Smokescreen said with too much confident.

"What are you guys talking about?" Bumblebee asked joining the conversation confused by the weird tension.
