"We have to talk, Deano. Obviously, you have noidea what I'm talking about." Gabriel slams Dean onto the bench of the picnictable.
"What the hell, Gabe?"
"Ch-Ch-Ch. I'll do the talking."
Dean's eyebrowsrise up, but he obeys. "I want topass a bit of info your way. A little P.S.A. if you will." Gabriel starts, "I'mjust going to give it to you straight." The angelstarts giggling, but his sincerity returns almost as fast as it was gone. "Whenan angel chooses its mate, consciously or un, its grace becomes entwined withthe mate's. In this case, the grace will entwine with a soul." "Gabe, why areyou telling me this? What 'case?'"
Before Dean can get an answer, Gabriel hasgrabbed his arm and transported them into the motel. Gabriel finds a lollipopthat Dean is positive wasn't there before. Dean's head is spinning. It seemslike every angel he comes into contact with is bipolar or something. Gabe, seemingly reading Dean's thoughts, says "Yeah, I'm sorry for coming in so hot,but I get a little upset when someone's hurting Cassie." Dean grabs a beer fromthe fridge, takes a perch on the end of his bed and faces Gabriel, "I'm allears." "To continue, I believe my little bro has unknowingly paired himselfwith you." Dean chokes on his sip of beer, and coughs. "That's impossible."Gabriel laughs, "Dean, really? I, an archangel born many millennia ago, don'tknow the realms of possibility, but you, tiny human that you are, do? Eitheryou think you're smarter than me, or you just suck ass when it comes to denial."Dean flushes, and picks at the label on his bottle; he tries for a comeback,"You suck ass." Gabriel scoffs. "Well, Deano, too bad I have to leave. You aresuch the conversationalist. Take a peek at his wings; decide if you like whatyou see." He winks and he's gone. Dean just flops back on the bed; the impactisn't as hard as he wanted it to be. He sighs. "What am I going to do?" He askshimself for the second time today.
