The next day, Tyler repeated his routine once again. Brushing teeth, checking phone and more. But when he checked his phone, he had a text. It wasn't from his mom since she never texted. It was Josh.
Unknown: Tyler? It's Josh.
yesterdayUnknown: Ty, answer please.
yesterdayUnknown: Wow, you never really get on your phone, huh?
yesterdayUnknown: Lol don't take offense by that.
yesterdayUnknown: Well, since I have your number, I guess that's all that matters.
yesterdayTyler smiles at all of the messages and shakes his head slightly. "He really does talk a lot." He says lovingly. Tyler shakes his head slightly again and adds Josh as a contact, putting his name as: "Josh ❤"
Tyler: Hey, Josh. Sorry for not answering. I was really busy after you left last night.
todayJosh ❤: It's okay, Ty. Just as long as you knew it was me.
Tyler: Of course. I'm leaving my house now, so I'll see you at the bus stop.
Josh ❤: Alright, see you there, boo. 💜
Tyler blushed at the last text and his heart fluttered. Did Josh just call him "Boo"? Tyler was so flustered.
The small boy swung his backpack onto his back and walked outside, closing and locking the door behind him. Tyler was still smiling at his phone at the text. Boo he repeated in his mind. Continuing walking, he wasn't aware how far he got to the bus stop until he ran into Josh. It was a rather dramatic fall. The type of fall where Tyler fell on top of Josh and they looked into each others eyes. The redhead smiles up at the brunette and presses his lips against Tyler's. They both lay there, kissing passionately. Tyler then pulls away as they gasp for air, "Whoa." Tyler says, looking into Josh's brown eyes. "Whoa indeed.." Josh replies, staring back into Tyler's eyes.
After a while of awkward silence, the bus comes to pick them up. The two boys go to the back seat and sit next to each other, linking their hands together and cuddling each other. "Tyler.." Josh sighs and grips Tyler's hand. "Yeah?" Tyler looks over at the red-head innocently smiling. "You're so gosh darn adorable." Josh whispers, kissing Tyler. Tyler kisses back, but each time he pulls back he tries not to make it obvious that they're making out in the back seat of a school bus. Tyler backs away and smiles warmly at his friend. Only... Is he really his friend?
They arrive at school and walk on in, hand in hand. Josh looks down at his friend and smiles softly before pecking him on the lips and pulling away. Tyler squints his eyes closed and pulls up a big grin, laughing at the smile at which he thought was attractive, but after looking in his head, he thought it was just hilarious. Tyler looks over to find a rather muscular 17 to 18 year old inching towards him and Josh. The man smiles at Josh but it fades when he looks at Tyler. Josh stares at the man in silence before seeing him mouth something, a look of disgust planted on his face while glaring at Tyler. The unfamiliar man walks around them and Josh turns, stopping him. "Excuse me, what did you say to him?" Josh snaps at the guy, finding that he turns on his heels to face Josh. "I called him a slut." the guy snaps back. "Pardon? Why am I a slut?" Tyler laughs nervously, gripping Josh's hand. "Sorry, but you're Tyler Joseph, correct?" the man asks. Tyler nods his head slowly, but still confused. "Yeah, okay. Some guy was talking about you in gym class saying that you fucked him. Therefore, you're a slut. He said you were practically begging for his cock deep inside of you." the man sighs in disgust. Tyler widens his eyes. "W-- Excuse me, sir, but Tyler's not one of those faggot 17 year olds that thinks he's everything to everyone. The only friend he has here as far as I know is me. And your friend is a lying piece of crap." Josh scoffs, pulling Tyler to him and putting his arm around him. "Hah, well I heard otherwise." The guy turns and walks away, chuckling evilly. Josh looks over at Tyler, the horror clear on his friend's face. "T-Tyler..." Josh grabs his shoulders and looks at him. "Is... what he said... true?" Josh hesitates before saying the last word. Tyler looks at him in shock, shoving him away. "Of COURSE not!! I don't even remember anyone ever TALKING to me in this damned place, except for you! And I've only known you for two days! Plus, I'm new! I don't even know how people know me already!" Tyler snaps at Josh and runs his hand through his hair, looking away. "Tyler.." Josh pulls the brunette into a hug and sighs sympathetically. Tyler begins to sob into Josh's soft hoodie and wraps his arms around him. The redhead rubs his back and kisses his head, "Shh," he says, hugging Tyler tighter. Tyler's sobs fade as he pulls away and rubs his eyes, looking at his friend. "Can we... Skip school?" Tyler asks, looking down. "Of course." Josh smiles. He turns and kneels down, "Get on my back," Josh smiles and Tyler climbs onto his back as Josh stands back up and walks out of the school.
Time Skip
It's been two hours since they've left the school and all they've been doing is walking. Tyler was off of Josh's back, but somehow, he was already tired of walking. They had stopped at an ice cream shop near the school. They got lots of looks, but Josh didn't care. Tyler did though. He darted his eyes around to see faces of disgust around him and his boyfriend everywhere. "Tyler, you okay?" Josh asks in a worried tone. Tyler had been panicking ever since that incident. "Y-yeah, I just.. I feel like we're DISGUSTING people." Tyler whispers sadly. "Don't pay attention to them, Ty. You're with me." Josh stops and turns Tyler towards him, grabbing his shoulders and smiling. "And I'm not going ANYWHERE."
