Gaston breathed deeply and prepared himself for what he would do next. In his mind he envision himself first kicking open the door and stealing the spotlight from the executive. He would do this with attitude combination of performing some really cool acrobatics, and the use of his grappling hook. Next he would WOW the crowd with his intense words about freedom, breaking free from the system and not being fooled by the conspiracy plot. Finally Dante would slam the stage behind him Full Force using his Fist Pumps to create a big distraction. This would allow Wrench to slide in undetected and snatch the suitcase and make her exit before he and Dante would battle to make there flashy exit out of the arena and get away Scott free.
That's not what happened at all...
Gaston did get to kick the door open, but as soon as he he heard a loud commotion in the crowd. All of the attention that should have been on him, had been directed to a spot in the far bleachers. A few screams and shrieks shot from the southern section of the stadium. Wrench zoomed in on the action;
"Uuuh, there's a woman mauling the guy in the seat next to her.. The area where her chip is implanted is reeeeeally swollen and red, looks kinda like it's over heating. Someone must have hijacked it and sent her nervous system out of whack...on the flip side its got everyone distracted. What's your orders boss?"This development kind of annoyed Gaston. His fantasy had been ruined, but he was an opportunist so he adapted.
"New plan guys, stay alert watch for my mark."
Gaston activated his stealth mode and went completely invisible. He ran out the door and darted across to the stage quietly while the entire audience was distracted. By then the GeoMod executive had radioed in for security to come to the aid of the man.
The scene was getting bloody and the cameras recorded it all.Gaston quietly picked up the suitcase from off the stage and made his way toward where Dante was standing.
"Get out of here bro, You and Wrench crack this box open. I think imma still have a little fun before I head home."
"Will do, but We'll come back if we don't hear from you." Dante promised.
Even though they looked nothing a like, these two were held together by a brotherly bond. The pair tapped there left wrists together twice, making a clank, clank sound before Dante turned to leave. This was how they had said good bye to each other since they where kids.
Gaston pressed on
The tension in the crowd was subsiding, security had subdued the woman, and ambulances had got the man on a stretcher. Gaston knew the executive would soon realized the case was gone and he would call for a lock down in the stadium when he did. He checked his holo screen and saw that Dante and Wrench where still inside the stadium, he didn't want them getting stuck inside with that case. They would need a distraction, and a big one.
"Are you ready for your surprise Gaston?" He heard Fu's voice whispered from his wrist.
"Hell yeah, you got here just in time." he responded. "I could use a distraction badly"
"One distraction coming up."
It couldn't have been a moment sooner. As Gaston looked up, he noticed the horror slowly creeping onto the executive's face. The exec was staring at the empty spot where the case had been. Gaston could see the gears begining to turn in his head, his face looked like a combination of confusion, surprise and dread. He looked like he was trying to come up with an explanation for his bosses, when his thoughts where interrupted by a fan fair that erupted from the stadium loud speakers.
Everyone began searching for the source of the melody made of low tones and synths, even Gaston was a bit confused. Just then the stadium lights turned on and beamed down onto Gaston revealing to the crowd a Ghost in the arena.
