Used To It By Now

I've had this idea for a while now, but I never got around to writing it until now... I don't think I've seen this prompt anywhere before so here goes... 

"I'm having an affair," I say looking up from my laptop screen. My eyes searching the room, landing easily on Luke. I admire the way his butt looks in those skinny jeans of his. I watch as he places the cover on the pot of pasta sauce he was making. He turns towards me, quirking up an eyebrow, "Is that so?" he asks making his way to the kitchen table, taking a seat across from me. "Who is it this time?" he says, genuinely curious, "Mikey? Ash? Nia?" I shake my head in reply, prompting him to continues guessing. "Some random girl you met at a club?" he asks again, screwing his nose up in concentration. I mentally note how cute he looks. 

"Nope," I say popping the p, I turn my laptop to face him. It's opened up on a TigerBeat article on me cheating on Luke with- "Harry Styles?" Luke exclaims laughing, reaching out to scroll through the article. There were pictures of me and Harry leaving a party from last Friday. Luke looks up at me to ask, "How's he in bed?" I laugh loudly before seductively leaning forwards, licking my lips, "He's got me moaning all through the night." 

"So he tops?" Luke questions, "That's a first."

"He fucks me so hard at night, I can't walk for days," I say seriously. 

"And how does Louis feel about this?" Luke fires back, "does he even know?"

"Oh, he knows," I say mysteriously, "even joins us sometimes."

At this point Luke loses it, erupting into a fit of laughter and eventually my poker face breaks too and I'm joining him laughing. "Man, the media is really desperate for a story huh?" Luke says once we've both calmed down a bit. "Yeah, they really are," I say agreeing. We sit in a comfortable silence for a moment, until I stand and walk over to Luke. Reaching around his waist, I pull him to his feet. I'm staring into the beautiful blue eyes I fell in love with so many years ago. "You know I'd never cheat on you right?" I say softly. Luke smiles kindly and I feel like I'm 16 all over again, falling hard and ruthlessly for Luke. "Of course," he says before leaning forwards to press his lips to mine.

It's quick and chaste but somehow filled with emotion. Luke and I have kissed thousands of times since we've been together, but it seems every time we do, to me it feels like the first time. The same flutter in my stomach and rapid beat of my heart. Even after all these years the magic of our relationship was still there. Five fucking years together and Luke still had the power to make me feel like a blushing school girl. We pull away, our bodies still pressed together, just enjoying each other's presences. Until we both dully hear the sound of sauce bubbling over and steam hissing, Luke rips away from me shouting "Oh shit!" before rushing to turn of the stove. 

I'm clutching my stomach laughing, wandering over to my boyfriend of 5 years, gently placing a hand on his shoulder. "Pepperoni or Cheese, babe?" The rest of our evening is spent eating pizza in the lounge of our apartment, watching Netflix and giggling over silly articles revolving around our relationship. It's been nearly 6 months since Luke and I came out as a couple and the response has been nothing but support, mainly... 

We talk until we're both enveloped in darkness, the only light is the moon shining through the window. We always do this, talking and lazing around until the sun goes down. Luke is leaning on me, his head resting on my chest. It's not the most comfortable position but I'm used to it by now. Anything to make Luke happy. 

"I love you," I whisper while running my fingers through his hair. He stirs slightly, humming in approval, "I love you too."
