As soon as I opened the door I was tackled into a hug by Rhianna. Whatever this thing was it was defiantly getting to her. I untangled her from me and closed the front door. Her eyes were all puffy and red from crying.
"Care to tell me why you had me rushing back here?" I asked her. She nodded her head and grabbed my hand, dragging me into the living room. We both collapsed onto the couch. She didn't say anything for a few seconds which was making me slightly irritated. This thing was obviously big.
"I have to live with my uncle." She whispered. Uncle? I thought the only family Rhianna had left was her Gran and she's no longer here.
"I never knew you had an uncle." I said.
"Neither did I. Gran never told me about him. Now there making me go live with the guy. How am I suppose to live with someone I've never met Tiff? He could be some kind of druggie. Or a serial killer or even worse, a Justin Bieber fan." We both shivered on that last one.
"Rhianna, they wouldn't send you to live with him if he was any of those things. He might be a Justin Bieber fan but we can change his mind." I grabbed her hand and squeezed it reassuringly.
"I suppose, but it's still going to be weird. I don't know the guy." She said. I could see in here eyes how much she hated the idea. I didn't like it either but it was going to happen anyway so I might as well make it seem like a good thing.
"You cant not like the guy just because you don't know him. You didn't know me at one point but now were best friends. Just get to know they guy and I'm sure he will be fine." I told her. She thought about it for a second and nodded her head with a small smile. I pulled her into a hug and patted her back.
"So when are you moving in with him?" I asked excitedly. She gave me a suspicious look.
"Trying to get rid of me that fast?" She asked faking being hurt. I slapped her arm playfully. I love Rhianna. Sure, I wouldn't miss her poking me in the morning, but I still liked having her here.
"Of course not, I love you Rhi." I told her. She tilted her head to the side and gave me a sympathetic look.
"And I've told you I just don't swing that way." She said. I took my hand away from hers and glared at her.
"Just tell me when your moving in with him!" I said.
"Well first I have to go meet him for lunch or something first so I know him better." She said. I nodded my head. That was probably be a good idea. It would be a bit weird to just move straight in there without even meeting the guy first.
"When's the lunch?" I asked her.
"Tomorrow. Will you come with me? I don't want to meet him on my own. You know, just in case he is a complete psycho." She said nodding her head casually. I laughed and nodded my head.
"Of course I will. Like I would miss out on a free lunch." I gave her a look as if she were crazy. She shook her head and laughed.
"Oh yea. I forgot you were a complete free loader." She said. I put a hand over my heart and pouted.
"I find that word incredibly insulting to my kind." Yes, my kind, the free loaders. We have our own website. We our proud of what we are.
"What do you want me to call you then?" She asked, playing along. I knew she would still call me a free loader after this. What do I want to be called?
"An opportunists." I told her proudly. I was defiantly on a role today.
"I'll remember that next time. I'll also tell my uncle that when he asks why you are there." She said before patting my leg and walking upstairs. I sat there for a few moments thinking.
I have a feeling this is going to come back and bite me in the ass.
