Call You Bae

Chapter 3

Jimin POV
"Ahh, it's so good!" I said, stuffing myself with kimchi.
"Slow down or you'll get indigestion!" Xiumin said concerned. Looking at Xiumin's face, I started to feel bad. For some reason, Xiumin's concern made me feel guilty. His puppy dog eyes and pursed lips probably added to my guilt.
"Geez, fine. Stop making that face," I said not making eye contact.
"What face?" Xiumin asked. Sighing, I just went back to eating kimchi, but this time, I ate one spoonful at a time. Xiumin was just sipping on his smoothie. It was somewhat awkward.
I'm going to be working with him, I thought.
If this is this awkward, how awkward would the recording be?
"Sunbae!" I said cheerfully. Xiumin looks up from his smoothie.
"Ne."
"Uhh, is the smoothie good?" I asked.
"Ne," he said simply, going back to sipping his smoothie.
"You're supposed to keep the conversation going," I muttered.
"Huh?" He asked looking up.
"Nothing," I smiled widely.
"Are you okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" I said sarcastically, through gritted teeth.
Xiumin looked at me again, and he seemed hurt.
"Ah, chesuamnida sunbae. I guess I'm just really grumpy today," I said.
Xiumin nodded and went back to his smoothie.
Wah, he's so quiet, I thought. I finished my kimchi, and tried to signal the waiter.

No One's POV
"Excuse me! Can we get the dessert menu?" Jimin asked.
"Chincha? You're still hungry?" Xiumin questioned.
"Yah! Aren't you? All you ate was a smoothie and three spoonfuls of kimchi," Jimin replied, gesturing to the unfinished kimchi. Xiumin looked at the kimchi, then at Jimin.
"You can have it if you want," he replied.
"Huh?" Jimin asked. Xiumin stood up and scraped the remains onto her plate. Jimin was red in the face, but still she started eating the kimchi.
"Aish, why do I eat more than a male idol," she grumbled with kimchi in her mouth.
Xiumin laughed but signaled the waiter.
"Do you still want dessert?" He asked.
Jimin looked at him then looked at the waiter.
"One small chocolate cake to go, please," she said sweetly.
"Okay miss," the waiter smiled back as he walked away.
"Can you also bring the bill?" Jimin yelled after him.
The waiter looked a bit flustered but he nodded and continued on his way back to the kitchen.
"Wow, you do eat a lot," Xiumin stated.
"I already know that and would like it if you didn't tell me every 5 minutes," Jimin muttered.
"But you do eat a lot," Xiumin emphasized, teasing her.
Jimin shot a glare at him as the waiter came over with a small box.
"Here is your cake miss," he said, placing the small, blue box in front of her.
"And here is the bill," he put it down at the middle of the table.
"Thank you," Jimin said. The waiter nodded again and walked away.
"You have the envelope, right?" Jimin asked.
"Yeah," he said, reaching into his pocket. Taking out the envelope, Jimin looked at the bill.
"Aish Jimin-ah, all the kimchi you ate added up to be quite a lot," Xiumin said, kind of annoyed.
"Yah, we're supposed to enjoy this before we have to record," Jimin defended. Xiumin sighed and took out the money needed (plus tip) and placed it in the bill.
"It's only 12:45, what do you want to do?" Xiumin said looking at his watch.
"Uhhhh...." Jimin pondered while walking out of the restaurant.
"Can we go back to my dorm so I can put my cake in our fridge?" Jimin asked.
"I'm not going back, it's too tiring."
"Well we can meet up somewhere...."
"Sure, but where?"
"How about.... A park?"
"Arraso. The Central Park?"
"Ok, I'll meet you there!" Jimin exclaimed while running to grab a taxi.
"HEY," Xiumin ran after here, some money in his hand.
"Kamsahamnida," Jimin bowed, grabbing the money. Xiumin started walking to the park as Jimin got to a taxi.
"FNC Entertainment," Jimin said, handing the driver a few bills.
"Ne," the driver said as he turned back to the wheel.
Jimin looked outside the window and thoughts of food filled her mind.
"I should probably stop thinking about food," she said as the taxi turned a corner.
