Jimin's POV:
"Names?" The man at the ticket booth asked.
"Uhhh Jim and Mina...." I said quickly. He nodded his head and typed something into his computer.
"What kind of names are those?" Xiumin whispered to me.
"I'm sorry! They're just based off our names, Jimin and Minseok..." I whispered back.
"Here are your tickets. Enjoy your magical day at Magic Land," he said, trying hard to sound enthusiastic.
"Ne! Kamsahamnida!" I said eagerly, as I grabbed the tickets out of his hand. I ran through the gates and breathed in air filled with smells of sweets and childhood obesity.
"Wahh! What should we do first?" I asked, grabbing a brochure from the nearest bin.
"Should we get food first? Wait, we should go on a roller coaster first... Ooh, or maybe the Ferris Wheel...." I said excitedly.
"Yah, calm down... we have plenty of time we can go on all the rides you want," Xiumin said.
"Rollercoaster it is!" I exclaimed, pointing to a small cave-like room.
"That's a roller coaster? It seems pretty small, but okay," Xiumin said. I smiled. That's what I had thought too when I first came.
"Let's go!"
Xiumin's POV:
"That's a rollercoaster? It seems pretty small, but okay," I thought as my eyes landed on the small shack. It seemed rundown, but pretty dark.
"Let's go," Jimin said, urging me to go in. Inside, there was a short line, and a man with a bright red hat right in front of a door.
"Next," the man said sternly. He ushered two people inside the door. A clacking was heard, but no other sounds came out.
"Are you sure this is a good rollercoaster? I don't hear any screams..." I asked. Jimin just shrugged and went back to staring excitedly at the door. I sighed, but I just adjusted my glasses and stayed quiet.
The man came out a few minutes later and led another pair inside. The same clack was heard, but even now, there were no screams.
Finally, the man came out to take us through. Jimin went first after the man, me trailing right after.
"Sit down, keep all your limbs inside, and enjoy the ride," the man said quickly, leading us to a small cart on a track. The cart looked like a mine cart, but there were seats inside with carpet and handles to hold onto. The tracks connected to create a small circle.
"Ne," Jimin said, jumping right in. I went in after her, our shoulders touching due to the small space. Thankfully, it was dark, so she couldn't see the blush streaks lining my face.
"Ready," I said after grabbing onto the handlebar.
"Ok," the man said going behind and pulling a lever. A clack was heard as we started moving around the track.
"Don't scream too much," the man said as he went out and closed the door.
"Wahh!! I'm so excited! It's been so long," Jimin squealed.
"This? This is nothing," I said, letting go of the bar.
"You're going to regret that," Jimin smirked.
"No I'm not," I said confidently. But on the inside, I felt a bit uneasy. The cart went around the circle multiple times before it stopped.
"Is it done?" I said, starting to stand up.
"No!" Jimin basically yelled while clutching my arm and pulling me down.
"Wha-"
Another clack was heard and we started going backwards.
"Hold on, or you'll get hurt," Jimin said to me.
"Hey, I'm not that weak," I said, crossing my arms.
"Suit yourself," she said turning to look in front of us.
The cart went backwards but abruptly stopped.
"Is it done now?"
"Nope. It's only just beginning," Jimin said squeezing her eyes shut. My arms were still crossed, but fear started spreading throughout my body.
"Ahhh!"
The cart suddenly went down, straight down it felt like.
My arms shot in front of me and I gripped the bar tightly. Jimin was also grabbing onto the bar.
As we were plunging down into darkness, I felt something brush against my arm. I turned my head and saw flashes multiple pairs of red eyes glaring at me.
"Aghhh!!!" I screamed louder. I jumped back to Jimin and clutched her arm tightly.
"Just don't look back," Jimin screamed over the wind. Still dropping, my eyes wandered and I turned my head slightly. I couldn't see anything behind me.
Literally.
The track stopped near what looked like a deep ravine.
"Ahhh!!!" I screamed even louder as I borrowed my face in Jimin's arm.
"And you said this would be a waste of time," Jimin yelled over my screams.
Suddenly, the cart stopped and started rotating so we were facing the front, the ravine a few centimeters away. Then, there was a screech heard as we fell straight down.
"AGHHHH!"
I buried my face into her arm as I felt my voice giving out.Sorry for such an abrupt stop, but I felt that it was necessary in order for the chapters to be more balanced regarding length. Also, I sincerely thank everyone who has read this story and voted on it, it means a lot!!!
